Two names keep showing up across four years of Google reviews for Cape Cod Appliance Service: Bob and Dan. The company repairs home appliances on Cape Cod — refrigerators, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges — and the reviews describe the same shape of visit over and over: a call in the morning, a technician at the door the same day or the next, the problem explained in plain language. Speed is the through-line. One customer called at 8:30am and had a technician by 1:30 that afternoon; another said a Speed Queen dryer with no heat was diagnosed and fixed within an hour of a next-morning visit — faster, they noted, than the appliance store where they'd bought the machine. A 2022 review describes a freezer that quit one morning being fixed the same day it was called in. The loyalty runs deep — several reviewers say they've used the company for a decade or more, and a 2023 review recalls a neighbor's recommendation "many years ago" that turned into an ongoing relationship. That same year, a Sub-Zero and a Dynasty oven that "several other appliance repair places had refused to even look at" both got diagnosed and fixed. When a fix doesn't hold the first time, a recent review describes a free second trip for a frozen ice-maker line, and a 2025 review describes the same for a washer with a bra wire tangled in the drum — no extra charge either time. The recurring complaint, appearing in reviews from 2022 through this spring, is the diagnostic fee. Several customers describe paying $140 to $185 just to have a technician look at the problem, occasionally ending in a recommendation to replace the appliance rather than repair it. In a 2022 review, one customer said a technician called an actuator repair "wouldn't be worth fixing," then found the $25 part online and installed it themselves, calling the visit "a $170 bill for NOTHING." A separate 2024 review describes a $370 dryer repair that stopped working after a single day, with a refund refused despite what the reviewer describes as a parts-and-labor warranty. Its Google page reads 4.2 stars from 68 ratings, and its BBB profile carries an A+ rating with accreditation. This isn't a fly-by-night operation — it's a long-running, name-recognized local shop — but the diagnostic fee is worth pinning down before the truck rolls: what the visit costs, whether it credits toward the repair, and what happens if nothing gets fixed. For a straightforward repair on a fridge, dryer, dishwasher, oven or range, it's the company Cape Cod homeowners keep calling back, technician by name.
Made an emergency same day call at 8:30 AM, kept me advised when they would arrive, which was 1:30, not too long of a wait considering they have to fit you in with existing appointments! Service was excellent, price less than I thought! Highly recommend 😊
Outstanding customer service and phenomenal technicians!
Bob, the technician was on time. He thoroughly investigated our issue and went above and beyond expectations. He was professional, courteous and thorough. Although our issue ended up not being part of our appliance, his experience and insight were critical in getting to a plan.
Dan was very efficient, professional and friendly. Would have needed a part and fixing the oven would have been over $500 so we’re living with the issue.
We contacted the place where we bought our sub zero refrigerator to service us but they couldn’t come for 3 weeks. CCA came within a few days. We were very pleased with Bobs responsiveness and clarity of the problem. It was an expensive part to replace but seemed fair. There was a need for a follow up call the next day but Bob came promptly and fixed a probably unrelated problem. Very happy with him and CCA
