The name that keeps showing up, review after review, is the owner's own: reviewers name Elson Costa directly, again and again, for showing up, explaining the fix, and giving a small job the same attention as a big one — in a 2025 review, one customer describes him installing 14 new machines with the same care as a single repair. A Boston property manager made Sanitary Laundry its sole laundry contractor starting in 2025 and says it couldn't be happier with the service; another commercial customer, writing in early 2025, says they've used the company for years and wouldn't call anyone else. Do not use this company! The reviews were good so I called and reached their answering service. They told me someone would call me back to schedule an appointment. No one called and I thought it was strange but tried again seeing that they had good reviews. I got the answering service again. The next day someone called me back to schedule an appointment. They came out and diagnosed the issue I was having with my washer and asked me to prepay for the part they needed. I prepaid and they told me the part would be available in 3 or so days. I waited a week and no phone call. I called and again got the answering service. 5 attempts and 4 days later I get a call back. They schedule an appointment to come out to install the part. They call the day of and tell me the technician is stuck in traffic and won't make it out and reschedule me. The technician comes and replaces the part and assures me that it works. After he leaves, I do a load of laundry and the washer isn't working, and it is now even worse than it was before. After attempting to call 3 times to tell them about the issue, and being told by the answering service that they would call me back, I decided to call my credit card. They did an investigation and ruled in my favor and I got my money back!
They did a warranty repair on my speed queen, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Would definitely recommend them, thanks for a great job!

I had an emergency with a dryer (just stopped working). I messaged this company via Thumbtack and also called. It took a week for them to respond - by which point I had found another solution. When I told them their response time was not the best, they responded with rude, mocking remarks, which I could not believe.
