One name runs through almost every review of Capitol Siding: Matt. Homeowners describe him walking the house explaining how siding actually goes on, showing up at 8am after a Facebook panic post about a leak, or telling a customer who wanted a new roof that the old one had a couple of years left in it. Across 105 Google ratings the company sits at 4.9.
The work itself is exterior: vinyl siding, replacement windows, roofing, gutters, doors. A March 2026 customer had aluminum siding swapped for vinyl along with every door and window in the house; another in May 2026 had siding, doors, gutters and windows done together. Roofing comes up nearly as often — a May 2026 customer had a full replacement, and a March 2026 one credited them for repairing a roof after two other companies would only quote a full tear-off. Storm and ice-damage work is a recurring thread: wind-blown trim, a truck that clipped a roof overhang, three large ice dams cleared in February 2026.
Installers get named too, which is unusual — Bill and Tony on windows, Adam on decks and porches, Jimmy and Carn siding a house through December cold. The word that repeats after them is cleanup. So does price: several homeowners who collected three to five bids say Capitol came in lowest or close to it, and one 2026 customer got siding and windows for what others quoted for siding alone.
The one substantive complaint worth knowing about is from November 2024: a homeowner said Capitol's quote was the lowest but the scope of work was vague compared with competing bids, and when they asked for it rewritten with the same detail the others provided, Capitol declined. It's a fair thing to pin down before signing. A Reddit commenter in May 2026 also noted the company travels statewide from Auburn, so distance is worth confirming for a job far from Worcester County.
The paperwork is unusually deep: BBB accredited since 1956 with an A+ grade, with three separate state licence numbers on record, one running to 2028. If you want exterior work from a long-established Worcester County outfit and you care about a crew that cleans up, this is a straightforward call — just get the scope written out line by line first.

I had an excellent experience with Matt and his team when I needed a new roof. Matt was very responsive to my inquiry and when he came out to the house he took the time to explain the estimate and the details of the roof being installed. I don't think anyone was going to beat his price, I was extremely happy with the quote. On the day of the install they were on time and worked until after dark to complete the job. The team did an excellent job cleaning around the house and left without any evidence that they were there. When I had some questions after the job was done Matt showed up at my house to make sure I was 100% satisfied. It was on overall amazing experience. I would not hesitate to call Matt again for any of my contracting needs.

Matt and Capitol Siding were great to work with, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! This was basically a full exterior overhaul - swapping out old, beat up aluminum siding with vinyl, replacing ALL the doors and ALL the windows, and fixing a couple of the gutters. Once I met with Matt to discuss the project, I didn't even bother to shop around for proposals. There were a couple hiccups in the order, and Matt was quick to reach out with alternatives (and I definitely came out all the better for it each time.) Bill and Tony did a beautiful job installing the windows, including a custom one in the bathroom, and the siding looks terrific. They really went the extra mile, and I couldn't recommend them more highly!
