Harmony Home Improvement describes itself on the BBB as an exterior remodeling company doing roofing, siding, windows, doors and decks, and its website says it has 25 years in business. A recent customer who hired the company for siding, windows, a roof and doors said the project, signed in September and promised by Thanksgiving, was still not done going into April. That customer said a hole was cut into the new roof for staging, that 43 triple-pane windows were ordered with 2x4 frames for a 2x6 structure, and that a single worker was assigned to install 43 windows and 4 doors. In 2025, a roofing customer said the 50-year warranty was never registered and the roof leaked during a rain; that 2025 customer later said the roof was being repaired by someone other than Harmony. In a 2024 review, a customer said a bay window arrived 2 inches too big, that the installer cut into the header to fit it, and that a building inspector said an engineer needed to be involved. In a 2024 review, a customer whose house was sided in late 2023 said it looked great, but that five months after promising to fix an upside-down door handle and a window casing, the installer had not come back. A 2025 customer said the company installed a new roof and skylights and was clean, professional and on schedule. In a 2024 review, a customer said John gave the estimate and Carlos and his team put in a new deck and a frame for a trellis. In a 2022 review, a roof replacement customer said Dennis arrived with estimates drawn from satellite images and gave one page laying out options by roofing brand and warranty, with a price for each. In a 2022 review, a customer who needed only two windows replaced said John K came out to measure, and that Igor wore shoe protectors and worked until 7:30 on a Friday night. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0604200, as active, held by Harmony Home Improvement.

We hired this company for a comprehensive exterior renovation (siding, windows, roof, and doors) based on the initial professionalism, reinforcement of their expertise and detailed quoting process. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the execution was the polar opposite of the pitch. Key Issues Encountered: Timing: signed in Sept, started at the end of October and said they’d be done by Thanksgiving - the project is still not done going into April. They said windows would take 2 weeks - they’ve taken over 20 weeks. • Workmanship: During the roofing phase, a hole was cut into the new roof for staging; our contact dismissed it until we pointed out it voided the manufacturer’s warranty. • Ordering Errors: 43 triple-pane windows were ordered with 2x4 frames for a 2x6 structure, resulting in "chopped up" jamb extensions - this was never discussed. My husband noticed as they were installing windows and asked about it. Some windows arrived as double-pane instead of the contracted triple-pane. We had to point this out once already installed. • Material Substitutions: Tyvek was discussed for the project-a substitution was installed without our consent. Quality concerns: put up 18 torn screens knowing they were torn, claims opened for a variety of issues still unresolved after months (the distributor even said this amount of claims is not normal) interior trim looked better before - many gaps, poor cuts leaving us with concerns. Scrap pieces were used for some exterior trim. • Poor Supervision: Despite promising to be hands-on, our contact did not visit the site for over 12 weeks even after me asking them to during the window installation. A single worker was assigned to install 43 windows/trim and 4 doors, when we were told a team would be on this, leading to a project that was estimated to end by Thanksgiving but ended up being 20+ weeks. Not to mention the hours I spent cleaning dust after work so my kids wouldn’t breathe it in. These are just some of the major issues. The company has deflected responsibility to the distributor and refused to reach a mutual agreement to rectify these failures. We are still waiting on open claims. They offered to fix things, however after making many lists of issues we no longer wanted poor quality and just gave up. This was an extremely disappointing experience. ***IN RESPONSE TO the company’s response which is inaccurate on multiple points. We were told 2 weeks for windows by their team - it spanned 20+ weeks. They shared they were giving through Jan “due to potential weather in the winter”. The weather never held the project up once. This wasn't even close to ahead of schedule. They had one guy working 10-3pm doing a huge window job for over 20 weeks and I sent multiple texts on my concerns of timing and quality and why there wasn’t a crew. -Permits are still not closed for this project (final payment was in Jan) and can’t be until opened claims are fulfilled. Windows were broken because sashes weren’t installed appropriately which was reinforced from the reps visit. -House wrap response is inaccurate. We were verbally told Tyvek in every planning discussion. We raised the concern WAY before payment - our contact became angry and frustrated that we wanted Tyvek and wanted to charge us to change it. There was NEVER a delay in any payment. We have proof of records for all checks/ payments. We only paid for the windows since they refused to start the siding until the windows were paid for. We were told the siding and windows would go in parallel and then they changed the plan. I have texts saying siding is starting in Nov then to Dec then to Jan and they knew we were never aligned with this plan. We paid a premium price for this project-cash concessions were at the company’s request for cash. We were never told some windows were double pane. Painting trim has nothing to do with poor cuts/gaps.
I would give a 0 if possible. I had a roof installed by Harmony. Per the contract, it has a 50 year warranty for materials, workmanship and labor, which they register upon final payment. They did not register. During the last rain, my roof was leaking, clearly due to improper installation. Despite multiple phone calls and emails to Dennis Bellamy I have received no call back, no offer of assistance. The potential damage to my home is immeasurable, but they do not return phone calls, they do not follow through with contracts. I would not recommend Harmony to anyone if you wish to have quality and professional work done. I am also subtracting the BBB. Stay away! Let me add to your response which is untrue. I did not say my chimney was a new rebuild- it is not. You placed the flashing. The chimney was checked before the roof was placed. You cannot find the contract, and you do not stand by your work or return calls. You admitted your records are not up to date. I sent you my name and address with the contract which clearly stated “ paid in full,” with the date and the amount. Why are you lying? You directed me to Owen’s Corning. They informed me, not you, that you never registered the warranty. This is entirely your fault, and all you had to do was offer assistance, and I would not have taken time out of my day to write this review. Is this clearer, signed sealed and paid. Stay away from this company. They never even registered the warranty. And once again. My chimney wad NOT replaced since the roof was placed. Stop repeating yourself. stop lying and just stand by your work. You cannot justify yourself.. obviously. I have all the documentation. CPA will obviously better assist me at this point, as Harmony is clearly unwilling. Follow up 10/31. A did have the roof examined and there are multiple issues due to harmony’s improper placement of the roof. It is being repaired by someone other than Harmony. Do NOT use Harmony for any home improvement. You will regret it in every way possible !
Excellent job! Courteous, expeditious, and thorough.
