Central Connecticut Building and Remodeling holds a 5-star Google average across 31 ratings. Its website pitches custom kitchens, baths, finished basements and decks, and the company says it has been in business 23 years. One recent customer bought a foreclosure property that needed a top-to-bottom gut renovation, and said the owner, Jason, managed the entire project and was never shy to pick up a hammer himself. Another household had the company update its kitchen in a complete gut and reno, a full bath, a half bath and the master bathroom, adding the two smaller baths to the job while the kitchen work was underway; the first-floor wood floors were redone during the same visit. That customer said every call, text or email to Jay got a near immediate response. On a recent deck job, Jason found the deck needed upgrades, corrected issues to code, and the deck was finished before the projected time. In a 2026 review, a customer said Jason took over a kitchen update that had turned into a down-to-studs gut after other contractors did shoddy work, and had better success dealing with the town inspectors; that customer singled out Angelo's tile work. A 2026 customer said Bob repaired kitchen drawers that were not closing properly. A 2025 customer described a weekly schedule the team stuck to, and said Jason and his wife went to town hall in person when the permit looked like it might slow things down. A 2025 reviewer said the job took down the walls separating the kitchen, living room and dining room. A 2025 customer said the team came right out after major flood damage. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, number HIC.0601414.2026, is expired on the state registry, which marks it "INACTIVE — CHANGE TO LEGAL ENTITY" under the holder Central Connecticut Building & Remodeling.
My deck is gorgeous! Jason found it needed some upgrades and corrected any issues to code. Jason was extremely easy to work with and dealings with his wife Danielle was super as well! They were both responsive to any questions I had in a timely manner. His hard working crew was here bright and early and always courteous. A plus is the deck was finished before the time projected. I highly recommend Central CT Building and Remodeling and will use them for future projects.
I couldn't be happier with the amazing job Central CT Building & Remodeling did on my new deck! From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and paid incredible attention to every detail. The quality of their workmanship exceeded my expectations, and they made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Now my favorite part of the day is spending the evening relaxing on my beautiful new deck. It's the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the fresh air, and make memories with family and friends. I receive so many compliments on how great it looks! If you're looking for a reliable company that truly takes pride in their work, I highly recommend Central CT Building & Remodeling. Thank you for transforming my outdoor space into something I can enjoy for years to come!
I recently had a deck completed by Central CT Building and my experience was excellent from start to finish. Jason's team is professional, reliable, and communicated clearly through the entire project. I look forward to working with him and his team with my future projects!!
Jay and his team have completed several jobs in our home, all of which have turned out amazing! We ultimately chose to work with Jay over other contractors for many reasons but what was really impressive was his responsiveness- I have never called, texted, or emailed Jay without a near immediate response! CCBR updated our kitchen (a complete gut and reno), a full bath, 1/2 bath (we decided to add these on while he and his team were working on our kitchen!), and our master bathroom! While here for the kitchen and bathroom work, he also redid the wood floors on our first floor. We are now talking about an update to our basement and Jay was our first text (to which he responded within minutes!)! Jay and his team are professional, responsive, fairly priced and have helped to make our home one that we plan to be in for a long time!
Jason and his crew have completed two projects in our home and each have been meticulously well done. He coordinates and communicates with other professionals well and stays on time for the work being done. With a big job to be done- he is always first to mind!
