Century Plumbing is a one-person plumbing and heating operation run out of Lynn, with roughly two decades in business per its BBB profile, which carries an A+ letter grade (the business isn't BBB-accredited). The one written account on file, from 2021, describes the owner, a Mr. Moglia, coming out for a faucet repair and, in the course of the visit, catching a deeper problem: the customer's washing machine had its hot and cold valves installed backwards, so a "cold" cycle was pulling hot water. He replaced the old valves the same day at what the customer called an extremely reasonable price, and said they'd called on him more than once since. Worth knowing: Google's own rating for the business averages 3 stars across its two total ratings, lower than that one glowing written review alone would suggest. With only two ratings on the books, there isn't enough here to say which figure better reflects typical service, but it's a real gap worth being aware of. With just a single detailed account to go on, this is a thin file. The 2021 review is a genuinely specific, positive one, but anyone considering Century Plumbing today should ask around locally or request references before booking, given how little else is on record.

Mr. Moglia came to my house to fix my faucet. In conversation, I mentioned I had trouble with hot water. He traced the issue back to my washing machine where he found the valves were not installed correctly. Even though the machine was set to use cold water, it was using hot. He replaced the ancient valves that same day all for an extremely reasonable price. I wouldn't use any other plumber. I have used him a few times since.
