One written account exists for Ceso Landscape & Construction, and it is not a good one. In December 2025 a Google reviewer described coming home from three months in Europe to a patio and outdoor fireplace they called the worst craftsmanship they had ever seen. That single review is all anyone has written. Against it sits a business with real roots: BBB puts the Danvers company's start at 2008 and its incorporation at 2014, lists five employees under owner Celso Lopez-Romero, and grades the file A+ — though the same page states plainly that the business is not BBB accredited. The company's own site claims more than 25 years, which does not square with BBB's 18. From 11 Franklin Street the work runs further than lawn care: landscape design and maintenance, mulching, mowing, tree and shrub pruning, hardscape patios and walkways, excavation, irrigation, and commercial snow and ice management, for which the company cites Certified Snow Professionals and Advanced Snow Managers accredited through the Snow & Ice Management Association. It says it covers a compact North Shore run — Danvers, Salem, Peabody, Beverly, Lynnfield, Saugus, Rockport, Essex and Georgetown. The licence is the thing to raise on the call. Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 202722 is held under this exact company name, and the state registry shows it expired. Landscaping-only work is exempt from that registration; patios, walkways, retaining walls and excavation are not. A reasonable call for straightforward grounds maintenance and seasonal snow work. For a built hardscape project, get the registration status in writing, ask to see finished patios nearby, and talk to those homeowners yourself before any money changes hands.
