Chad Woods runs a one-person electrical business based in Dracut, Massachusetts, and the reviews keep circling back to one job: backup generators. Between 2020 and 2022, homeowner after homeowner describes him wiring transfer switches and whole-house generator hookups, and explaining exactly how to operate them afterward — "walked us through how to operate the switch," one wrote in 2020; another the same year called him "competent, quick, and neat." More recent work leans smaller. A 2025 review describes him installing ceiling lights and a bathroom fan and swapping an outside receptacle in one visit; another from that year found him "prompt, honest, very smart and experienced and reasonably priced." By 2026 he'd added EV charger installation to the list — newer work for a business whose written reviews stretch back six years. The same two things show up whether the review is from 2020 or 2026: he explains the job before and after, and he leaves the site clean. A 2025 customer specifically flagged his "transparency," saying he helped cut labor costs when they wanted to handle some prep work themselves. That six-year span of largely five-star accounts, without a real complaint running through it, says more about how consistently this business operates than any single review does. For a generator hookup, a fan or fixture install, or an EV charger, this is a well-documented call. The reviews don't describe larger panel upgrades or full rewiring jobs, so it's worth asking directly if the work goes beyond what's covered here.

Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).

Chad installed an EV charger at my house, he was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend
Chad did a great job, good communication and very knowledgeable in his trade.
Chad worked with my husband and I on installation of a bathroom fan and we can’t recommend him highly enough! His expertise was highly valued- took the time to discuss pros and cons of the project and answer any and all questions we had. We also greatly appreciated his transparency (e.g. helped us to cut some of the labor costs if we were interested in doing some prep work ourselves) and communication (e.g. very timely and responsive with all texts, calls and scheduled visits). We were couldn’t be happier with the results and process!

Chad installed ceiling lights and a fan in my kitchen and replaced an outside receptacle. He is the only contractor that gave me practical suggestions and thoroughly explained everything. He is very professional and strives for perfection. He pays attention to every little detail, including the clean up. I am more than happy with the results. I would highly recommend Chad for all your electrical needs
