The reviewer said the contractor took their money and left the project at the studs, with an unfinished deck that failed five times. They said their husband spent more than two years completing the project himself because they had no money left. BBB identifies Wilmot as a Worcester general contractor. In a February 2015 BuildZoom review, a writer describing work for close friends alleged that he took full payment, left with 65% of the renovation completed, and had done only 40% of it correctly. These are dated allegations: the reviews were published in 2015 and 2019. OSHA also publishes an inspection entry under the Charles R Wilmot business name.

I would never recommend this contractor he took our money for an addition and left us with studs an unfinished deck that failed 5 times. It took my husband over two years to complete our project after Charlie left us hanging my husband completed it on his own because we had no money left. Charlie Wilmer is a greedy and unethical contractor! Horrible person!

He did work for close friends of mine and he took 100% of the money, he left with 65% of the work done and only 40% of it was done correctly. Do your homework before hiring him.
