Chatham Window Washing is a one-owner Cape Cod outfit run out of Harwich by Mark McLaughlin, cleaning windows, screens, storm sashes and skylights for houses and small businesses from Chatham down through Harwich, Orleans, Dennis and Brewster. The company describes its method as a proprietary cleaning solution paired with an ultra-pure water system. For several years, the reviews told one consistent story. In 2024 and 2025, customers described a crew - Mark paired with Kevin, or Diedra, or Mike - arriving on schedule and working through sills, tracks and frames that "many companies overlook." One reviewer, writing in October 2024, said she'd used the company annually for three years and called it prompt, professional and reliable; another, that September, praised Kevin for returning two days later just to fix a loose screen. A 61-window house, washed inside and out in three hours, earned a five-star review in July 2026. That consistency has slipped since late 2025. Of the three reviews posted since February 2026, two are negative: one customer says she got no price up front and was shocked by a $500 bill; another, in April 2026, says Mark left for Florida mid-job and hung up when they asked for their $700 back instead of returning to finish. A December 2025 review describes a solo visit, without the usual crew, that left several windows untouched or smeared. The Better Business Bureau currently grades the business C+ for not responding to one complaint, though its own page carries no review text or star average of its own. A single review from 2021 also describes lingering water spots the owner blamed on hard water rather than fixing. The strongest years here look like a return-every-year, ask-for-Kevin outfit; the last several months look like something has slipped. Get a firm price before the crew arrives, and confirm whether Mark is bringing a team or coming alone.
Very expensive….windows came out great but I had the job done w/o a quote and was shocked! $500 for an avg two story house. I’m not sure why …. If Mark was angry because I truly forgot to tip his helper or if it was due to some communication troubles in the beginning? Dispite a nice web site, He does struggle with technology….. we will go elsewhere in the future.
Mark and his crew did a terrific job both inside and out. With the 61 windows in the house the crew was done in three hours. I will use him again.
Mark did a horrible job. He Went to Florida and when we told him we wanted our $700 back he hung up on us. Not a disconnection. We still want our money back. Our complaint led to bad bbb review. Mark. Be an upstanding business man and give us the refund we deserve. We will contact bbb with a new report. This took place in Nov. he said he would return late Jan to “ redo”. We could not see out our windows because of all the dirt smeared aroundand it was holiday time. Our housekeeper was here and verified his time here
Our family just had our windows "washed" by Mark. He did not have his crew. His work was unbelievably bad! We were not here but our housekeeper was present and she said he was here a very short time. There is not one clean window in our house. Many were not touched at all and the ones "cleaned " all have dirty corners and smears. We have used Mark in the past and were happy. Something has happened to him. When I told him I wanted my money refunded he hung up on me.
I couldn't be more impressed with the window washing service I received! The team was professional, punctual, and thorough. They cleaned every window in my house, leaving them sparkling and streak-free. The attention to detail was exceptional, and they even went the extra mile to clean the sills and frames.
