Ask the people who hired Christopher Cahill Construction and one pattern shows up fast: they hire them again. Of the ten reviews on its Houzz page — all five stars, all posted between 2013 and 2016 — most come from repeat clients. One wrote in 2014 that Cahill had done three projects for them after a bad experience with a previous kitchen contractor; another, also in 2014, said they had worked with the firm for fifteen years across several jobs. The company runs out of 71 Main Street in Hollis as a design-build shop, so the drawings and the build come from the same team, and it says the same crew stays on every project. It puts its own tenure at over 25 years. Massachusetts' registry shows its home improvement contractor registration, number 176286, active; New Hampshire does not register general contractors, so there is no state registration to check on this side of the line. Its BBB record is an A+, accredited since 2003. Those 2013–2016 accounts describe the work the firm still lists: whole first-floor renovations, kitchens and baths, family rooms, decks, additions, sunrooms and outdoor living spaces. Several dwell less on the finish than on how the crew behaves in an occupied house — a 2014 reviewer described the team building temporary walls so the family could stay put with a working kitchen, and cleaning the work area at the end of every day. A kitchen-and-bath designer who has worked alongside them wrote in 2014 about their consistency across projects. Two things to raise on the call. The written record is dated — nothing has been posted since December 2016, so ask for references from recent jobs rather than reading them. And BuildZoom shows the company's two EPA renovation (lead-safe) certifications, NAT-84116-2 and NAT-84116-3, as inactive, saying it re-checked one as expired in June 2026, while the company's own site still advertises an EPA green-building certification and the BBB file lists the -2 number. For a firm that restores older New England buildings, that is worth settling before anyone opens a wall in a pre-1978 house. For a design-heavy renovation in southern New Hampshire where you plan to live in the house while it happens, this is a long-established, Massachusetts-registered outfit with a decade of repeat clients behind it — get the current certification status and two recent references in writing before you sign.
“te with town officials last month and the only one to make a bid. A second contracting firm, Innovative Paving Concepts, visited the site, offering to brace the structure for $1,150. In the end, however, the firm did not make a formal offer. Hollis contractor Chris Cahill, who only recently expressed interest, said he would replace the building and charge only for materials, about half of Tremblay’s bid. Cahill, however, said he was unable to take on the project until next spring, not soon enough, selectmen agreed Monday. “We ”
Chris and team (Dale and Dave among others) are top notch. We have hired Cahill Construction to redo our entire first floor, including kitchen and bath remodel and expansion. We had changes throughout the process and Chris and his crew were very flexible and always worked to deliver the highest quality work in our time frame. We highly recommend Chris and have utilized them to build a deck as well as Portico. No job is too big or too complex. His Contractors are always the best and reflect his reputation. As with anything challenges were faced but Chris always stood by his work and was willing to work with us until we were satisfied. Please contact me directly with any questions.
Chris Cahill Construction is an excellent company to work with. Chris works with clients to help them realize the plans they want to implement. He understands needs and budget limitations. He is also thoroughly honest and committed to high quality construction/renovation using trained professionals and subcontractors. Chris is pleasant and easy to work with. I recommend him and his company without reservation.
Cahill Construction remodeled our kitchen - pretty much demolished completely and rebuilt it. We could not have been more pleased, not only with the work but with the high level of professionalism and most especially the calm and respectful demeanor of everyone who was working here. We both work at home and though the remodel was, necessarily, quite disruptive, these guys went to great lengths to make it less so. We can't wait to have them back for more projects. And the job they did was fabulous - I will see if I can up load photos.
We've done 2 projects with Cahill Construction and were delighted with the results in both cases. They redid our deck and subsequently remodeled our family room. The workmanship on both projects was exceptional. Chris assembles a crew of the best professionals around, and they are experts in their areas of specialization. Just amazing attention to detail and great outcomes within budget!
Christopher Cahill Construction consistently delivers timely high quality work and excellent customer service. We have worked with Christopher Cahill Construction for the past 15 years on several home improvement projects and have never been disappointed.
