Three reviews, all of them a decade old, and they pull hard in opposite directions. Cicchetti Construction works out of 79 Essex St in Saugus and describes itself on Angi as a general home-construction outfit — carpentry, demolition, doors, drywall, flooring, roofing, windows, waterproofing — with 34 years behind it and emergency service available. The two good accounts are from April 2012. One homeowner hit a lead-paint problem mid-project and wrote that the contractor wasn't certified for lead remediation, so he went through the state courses and got certified rather than walk away. The other said simply that he was on the ball and did exactly what she wanted. The third account, from June 2014, is the one to read closely. That homeowner, on a $50,000 job, described the work running behind schedule, the owner disappearing for several days mid-project, and an attempt to renegotiate already-contracted prices that they say added more than $15,000. They also wrote that cracks appeared in concrete poured on a ten-degree January day over their objection, and that their warranty calls went unreturned. Angi's own FAQ block for the business answers 'no' on whether warranties are offered. That is the whole written record: three reviews across a mirrored Angi and HomeAdvisor listing, nothing since 2014, and no photos, no licence number published on either page. If you're considering them for a Saugus-area project, treat this as a business you'll need to check yourself rather than one the public record can vouch for. Ask for two or three recent references you can call, get the payment schedule and any change-order process in writing before work starts, and confirm the state registration and construction-supervisor licence covering your job.
