In July 2020, with their central air dead in the middle of a heat wave, a homeowner rang around and was told by service after service that nobody was taking new clients. Chris agreed to help and came out promptly. A month later another customer whose regular HVAC company could not come for two days — and it was in the 90s — found Chris recommended on a local Facebook page, and he was there that same day. In August 2022 someone caught him on a 99-degree Sunday; he was plainly slammed, and squeezed them in anyway. Those are the calls his HomeAdvisor profile describes: cooling emergencies, answered fast. A May 2021 customer had their A/C fixed in fifteen minutes. One July 2020 reviewer wanted to give six stars, called him courteous, on time, neat and thorough, said he explained everything in terms they could follow, and put his price at half what others had quoted. CJC works out of Somerville. HomeAdvisor lists it as an Approved Pro with ten years' experience and emergency service, at a 5.0 average across 23 ratings, every one of them five stars. Those written accounts run from July 2020 to August 2022, so they describe how he worked four to six years ago. For an A/C that has quit in a heat wave, especially if your usual company has a waiting list, this is the number to try. Ask what an after-hours or weekend call costs before he rolls, and whether he covers heating service as well as cooling.
Chris was immediately responsive on a 99 degree Sunday afternoon. He was clearly very busy that day, but was able to squeeze us in too knowing the urgency of the situation. He was communicative, professional, and prompt. All of the things you need in home repairs in the middle of the summer :) We will definitely be calling him again, and will utilize CJC for all future services without a doubt. Call him - you will not regret it!
Chris communicated well, showed up fast and got my A/C fixed in 15 minutes!
Chris was fantastic! Our usual HVAC company couldn't come out until over 48 hours later, and it was in the 90's out - the house was getting hot! Chris was recommended on a local FB page and he was able to come that day. He was professional and answered all our questions in terms we could understand. We hadn't had out unit cleaned in the 4 years we've lived in our home. Chris offered to come out and give it a good cleaning the following week for a very reasonable price. When he was finished, the unit was quieter and it honestly seems more efficient. Chris will be our new "regular" HVAC person! I will recommend Chris to my friends and family needing HVAC service.
My central air system went down in the middle of a heat wave and virtually every HVAC repair service that I called told me that they weren't taking new clients and couldn't help me. I contacted Chris through home advisor and he agreed to help me out. He promptly came to my house, identified my problem, and ordered parts. When the parts arrived he immediately came back and installed them and I was up and running. Chris identified and fixed my problem and the entire process took only 2 days. On top of that, the price was more than reasonable and Chris is a super nice guy. I highly recommend Chris because he is a skilled and professional technician.
I would give Chris SIX STARS if I could. Courteous, on-time, capable, neat, thorough and knowledgeable. Explained everything he needed to do in terms even I could understand. Half the price of some others I talked to; he could charge twice as much and still be a bargain. Hire THIS guy, for sure!
