Two Houzz reviews, both naming the same man — Christos — and neither newer than 2014. That is what exists in writing about CL Home Improvements, a Salem contractor whose Houzz profile lists it under General Contractors and states its coverage as the North Shore rather than any particular towns. The work described is the whole-house kind. In a 2013 review, a homeowner who hired the company to manage the building of their new home called Christos honest, professional and reliable, said he came out immediately to give an estimate, worked within their budget and helped make selections. A 2014 client described him structuring and building out a bathroom remodel, and said they would put him on any job in their house either as manager or as lead carpenter. Both accounts are positive, and both are more than a decade old. Houzz averages them at 4.5 stars across two ratings. Anyone calling now is calling on a twelve-year-old reputation. Ask who is running jobs today, ask for North Shore references from the last year or two, and confirm the company's current Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration with the state before work starts.

Christos did an excellent job helping me structure and build out my bathroom remodel. I would highly recommend him to either manage or be the lead carpenter on any job in your home.

Hired to manage the building of my new home. Christos is honest, professional, trustworthy and reliable. He was very responsive and came out immediately to give an estimate. He worked with our budget, gave good feedback, and made great selections for us. The finished product was better then we hoped, I am so happy with how it turned out, absolutely beautiful, top notch work. His workers were awesome. They kept everything clean when they left every day. We always felt very comfortable with them in the house, they were good people. I will definitely use Christos again on a future project and have already recommended him to all my friends!
