Clancy Construction (also listed in some directories as Greg Clancy Construction) has been building and renovating custom homes around Falmouth and the Upper Cape since 2002, per its own and BuildZoom's histories, under owner Greg Clancy. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration is active, verified against the state registry, and BuildZoom's permit records show roughly 63 projects over the past three years, putting its score in the top 1% of Massachusetts contractors. Most of what customers describe is detailed and consistent: named project managers (Mike Gray, Nick Poppe) and a selection coordinator walking clients through kitchen and bathroom remodels down to a suggested pocket door and finished hardwood floors, in-house custom cabinetry, and a renovation/addition praised for attention to detail from framing through finishes. A 2023 review described the company stepping in during a business emergency involving another contractor's insurance troubles and staying "full force" once work started. A supplier who furnishes components for Clancy's projects separately praised how the company runs its jobs. The one real caution here: a June 2025 review describes crews starting work at 7am, blocking driveways and parking in the street, leaving oil stains, and not putting up fences during excavation and foundation work — flagged as a safety concern in neighborhoods with children, with the reviewer suggesting a direct conversation with ownership before starting a project. That's the lone negative account among nine reviews on file, so it may not be typical, but it's specific enough to bring up. For a custom home, addition, or kitchen/bath remodel on the Upper Cape, Clancy has the volume and licensing to back a substantial project — just ask upfront how the crew handles site logistics and safety on an active job.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Eric and the team at Clancy Construction, and they run a tight, professional operation. It’s clear from the way they manage their projects that quality, communication, and attention to detail are top priorities. Eric is organized, responsive, and committed to delivering a finished product that reflects true craftsmanship. From our experience supplying components for their projects, they hold high standards and follow through. We’re proud to support their work and would confidently recommend Clancy Construction to anyone looking for a dependable, high-quality builder.
Every time I enter one of our newly remodeled bathrooms or kitchen, I think how much I love them now. Between Project Manager Mike Gray's efficiency, cordiality, and general know-how, Project Manager Nick Poppe's friendliness and insightful suggestion of a pocket door, Selection Coordinator Laura Fischer's brilliant design suggestions, and Travis French's gorgeous hardwood floors, the Clancy Team came through for us 100%. Thank you!
We had an outstanding experience working with Clancy Construction on our recent renovation/addition project. From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, craftsmanship, and clear communication at every stage. Attention to detail was evident in everything from the framing to the finishes. The crew was punctual, respectful of our property, and kept the site clean and organized. Most importantly, Clancy Construction delivered exactly what we envisioned and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and reliable construction partner.
Crews will begin work at 7am on the dot and are not considerate about blocking driveways, parking in the middle of the street, and leaving large oil stains all over the road. They do not routinely put up fences during the excavation and foundation process, which is a huge safety hazard, particularly in areas with lots of little kids. If you have close relationships with your neighbors and care about maintaining positive relationships with them during your construction process, I would consider having a discussion with the owner of this company before proceeding.
We cannot thank Greg and his team enough for bringing our dream to life. We started with a wish list and ended up with our forever home. Throughout the entire process he and his team were always there for us and the end result has exceeded our expectations. Their attention to detail and the quality of the craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. All we can say is THANK YOU!!!
