Clancy Construction works out of 217 Clinton Avenue in Falmouth and builds custom homes, additions and renovations across Cape Cod, with cabinetry designed and built in its own shop. The company says it has been at this since 2002; the Better Business Bureau's file matches that start date and lists 23 employees under owner Greg Clancy, and the business also lists architectural design, flooring, site work, landscaping and generator installation among its services. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 100184, is verified active against the state registry — not just claimed on a profile. BuildZoom separately reports an active licence and roughly 63 permitted projects over the past three years, which places it among the busiest small builders on the Upper Cape and in the top 1% of Massachusetts contractors on BuildZoom's own scale. Customers describe a well-run operation. A reviewer writing this February praised a tight, professional outfit where quality, communication and attention to detail were clear priorities, with an organised, responsive manager and follow-through on high standards. Across the wider record, homeowners repeatedly single out project managers by name, in-house cabinetry, and renovation and addition work delivered cleanly; Google averages 4.5 stars across fifteen ratings, Houzz shows 5.0 from two, and the BBB grades the company A+ though it is not accredited. The one clear dissent is about jobsite conduct rather than the finished work. A neighbour of one project reported crews starting at 7am sharp, blocking driveways, parking mid-street, leaving oil stains on the road, and not routinely fencing excavation and foundation work — raised as a safety concern in a neighbourhood with small children. If you live on a tight street or care about neighbour relations during a build, that is the conversation to have with the owner up front: site hours, parking, fencing and cleanup. For a Cape homeowner planning a custom build, a large addition or a kitchen and bath renovation with custom cabinetry, the verified licence, the permit volume and the consistency of the praise make this a credible shortlist candidate.

Every time I enter one of our newly remodeled bathrooms or kitchen, I think how much I love them now. Between Project Manager Mike Gray's efficiency, cordiality, and general know-how, Project Manager Nick Poppe's friendliness and insightful suggestion of a pocket door, Selection Coordinator Laura Fischer's brilliant design suggestions, and Travis French's gorgeous hardwood floors, the Clancy Team came through for us 100%. Thank you!

We had an outstanding experience working with Clancy Construction on our recent renovation/addition project. From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, craftsmanship, and clear communication at every stage. Attention to detail was evident in everything from the framing to the finishes. The crew was punctual, respectful of our property, and kept the site clean and organized. Most importantly, Clancy Construction delivered exactly what we envisioned and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and reliable construction partner.

Crews will begin work at 7am on the dot and are not considerate about blocking driveways, parking in the middle of the street, and leaving large oil stains all over the road. They do not routinely put up fences during the excavation and foundation process, which is a huge safety hazard, particularly in areas with lots of little kids. If you have close relationships with your neighbors and care about maintaining positive relationships with them during your construction process, I would consider having a discussion with the owner of this company before proceeding.
