Two brothers and 49 straight five-star ratings. Dominic and Jason Codispoti run Codispoti Electrical out of Swampscott, and the thing customers kept writing about through the second half of 2025 is how the job ends: floors washed, ceilings not punched full of holes, a living room left cleaner than they found it. The work is ordinary residential electrical at both ends of the scale. Small: in November 2025 a customer had five smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors replaced and tested, and a dead under-cabinet light traced and fixed; in October 2025 another had an outdoor outlet and an outside TV set up in two hours for $535. Large: a 100-to-200-amp service upgrade for $5,000 in December 2025; an 800-square-foot basement — living area, gym and half bath — wired for $6,500 in August 2025; and a new house wired from nothing, no lights, no outlets, no panel, for $15,000, which the July 2025 customer said passed inspection with flying colours. Knob-and-tube keeps coming up. An October 2025 customer said the crew pulled theirs out and were careful about plastering and patching the holes that job leaves behind, and BuildZoom's permit sample shows a 2025 whole-house knob-and-tube rewire in Nahant that added six to eight circuits and rewired ten to twelve outlets. EV chargers appear too: one October 2025 job ran conduit from the panel to the far end of the house and added whole-house surge protection. Price comes up nearly as often as cleanliness, and always the same way — a fair estimate, occasionally less than quoted. One November 2025 customer was billed under the estimate because the work finished early. Two caveats. Every written account sits on a single platform, HomeAdvisor, and all of them fall in the second half of 2025 — a strong but narrow window. And the licensing entries disagree: HomeAdvisor lists trade licence number 60796 expiring 31 July 2028, while BuildZoom's page states an electrician needs no licence in Massachusetts, which is not how the state works. Ask to see the electrician's licence and insurance certificate before work starts. For a panel upgrade, a knob-and-tube pull, an EV charger, or a punch list of fixtures around the house, few electricians on the North Shore have a fuller run of recent, specific praise.
