A Mitsubishi mini-split system replacing old hydronic gas boilers is the kind of job Comfort Systems and Solutions takes on. A recent customer said Shane first came out to quote in late 2025, provided updated quotes when asked over almost ten months, and never made a high-pressure sales pitch; Shane and Christian then worked the installation. The company holds a 4.9-star Google rating across 42 ratings. On its website it says it has been in business 20 years, names Providence, Scituate, Cranston, Johnston and Foster as its service area, and offers the Quilt smart heat pump. A 2025 customer said Shane traced the kitchen ducts during the consultation and fixed a manually closed duct, after two other HVAC people had said the walls would need to come apart or different equipment would have to go in. That 2025 customer also had a basement mini split installed and described a clear itemized invoice. A 2025 customer wrote of saving 60% on the electric bill after a mini-split install and said Shane responded promptly. A recent customer said the job was done in one day. A recent customer said the company installed two new heating furnaces but did not properly reinstall the evaporator coils connected to the existing A/C condensers. That customer also said an email to Shane asking to schedule oil-tank replacement and to quote two heat pumps got no response despite multiple follow-up attempts.
“The other two 15k were Premier Heating and Air, and Comfort Systems and Solutions.”
We had an excellent experience working with Shane and his team from start to finish. Shane first came out to give us a quote in late 2025. He took the time to inspect everything thoroughly, listen to our specific needs, and walk us through our options. He was extremely knowledgeable and, just as importantly, there was never any high-pressure sales pitch. It ended up taking us almost ten months to be ready to move forward. We got other quotes and needed time to figure out the finances. During that entire period, Shane only checked in occasionally and provided updated quotes when we requested them. He was always responsive and helpful without ever putting pressure on us to make a decision. Once we were ready, Shane worked with us to schedule the project around our needs. He and Christian were excellent throughout the installation. We ultimately chose a Mitsubishi mini-split system to replace our old hydronic gas boilers, and we couldn't be happier with both the quality of their work and the overall experience. From the initial consultation through the completed installation, they were knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Shane and his team, and we're already looking forward to working with them again on another property we're building out.
I am very disappointed with my experience with Comfort Systems and Solutions. The company installed two new heating furnaces in my home but did not properly reinstall the evaporator coils connected to my existing A/C condensers. This left me dealing with additional issues after the installation. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of communication. On May 19, 2026, I emailed Shane to schedule the replacement of both oil tanks and to request an updated quote for the installation of two heat pumps. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, I have never received a response or any indication of interest in scheduling an appointment. It's unfortunate because the company has many positive reviews, which is one of the reasons I reached out. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Quality workmanship should be matched by reliable customer service and communication, especially when customers are looking to invest in additional work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Comfort Systems and Solutions due to the poor follow-up, lack of responsiveness, and unresolved installation issues.
Amazing work. Got the job done in one day. Great with kids & dogs lol &&&& best prices around !!!! Shane & Christian great job !
Great experience with my mini-split install! Shane was a great communicator and responded promptly. I'm now saving 60% on my electric bill and the house is very comfortable. - Great communication and transparent - Quick install/turnaround time - Reasonable pricing- significantly better than other quotes I received - Top of the line equipment - Approved contractor for RI Energy rebates Thank you Shane, Gary, and Christian.
Comfort Systems and Solutions should be your go-to HVAC specialist!! I can’t say enough about how satisfied we were with our experience. We were looking for someone to install a mini split in our basement on a short timeline, and also were having issues with our kitchen being much colder than the rest of our house. First off, the mini split installation was perfect - easy to schedule, clear itemized invoice, extremely professional, and most of all - works perfectly. But where Shane went above and beyond was the issue with our kitchen ducts. After two other HVAC people telling us we needed to either rip apart the walls or install different equipment, Shane took the extra 15 minutes during our consultation to actually trace the ducts and immediately fix a manually closed duct. The problem was immediately solved. In an era where it’s very difficult to know whether someone will treat your home like it’s their own, Shane did just that. Can’t recommend enough.
