Complete Contracting of New England is a Webster, Massachusetts remodeler and custom home builder led by Brett Lathrop. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, number 215011, is verified active against the state registry in the company's own name. On its own site and its directory profiles the company describes itself as family-owned and serving central Massachusetts, and it lists residential additions, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and ground-up new builds. The public track record is small but specific. Both reviews on file date from August 2025 and both are five stars. One customer described a three-season room with a lot of windows converted into a full family room, with the siding and exterior then completed to match the rest of the house. The other described a $60,000 project that started as a bathroom remodel and grew: the kitchen gutted and rebuilt with a floor made from different woods melded together, a load-bearing wall between kitchen and living room removed and the ceiling plastered and sanded so the wall line does not show, new doors and trim through a hallway, and two basement windows replaced. Both accounts emphasise the same things — attention to detail and a willingness to keep working through a widening scope — and both came through the same syndicated Angi/HomeAdvisor profile, which is also where the family-owned description appears. The Angi profile lists Spanish as a spoken language. Two things to check before signing. The stated tenure varies across the company's own surfaces: its website says over 35 years, its Angi and HomeAdvisor About text says 30 years, and the Angi business highlights say 25 years of experience. And the company publishes three licence numbers — the Massachusetts HIC 215011 that the registry confirms active, a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor Licence CS-063643, and a Connecticut home improvement registration 0702155 — of which only the first has been checked against a registry here; BuildZoom additionally records an older Massachusetts registration, 118137, as inactive. With only two reviews, this is a thin public record for a builder taking on whole-house work. The registration and the two detailed accounts are real; ask for recent local references and a written scope before a project of that size.
This was a great experience. All the workers were very nice and efficient. We re-purposed a 3 season room with lots of windows and made it a family room with new everything. They also then completed the siding and exterior to match the rest of the house.
Started with creating a gorgeous bathroom remodel. Amazing attention to detail. Hearing my opinions and concerns and forming a plan to make this bathroom a stunner. Why stop there…my kitchen was gutted and is beautiful! Kitchen floor was a piece of art work melding different woods. A load bearing wall was taken down between kitchen and living room. The ceiling was plastered and sanded so you wouldn't even know a wall was there. All new doors were put in my hallway with beautiful trim. Two basement windows were taken out and new replacement windows were put in. Half moon metal guards and rocks completed the job….again extremely happy. Wish I could give him more than 5 stars….amazing job.
