On its website, the company says it has served Southern Maine for more than 75 years, and it lists Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Gorham, South Portland, Hollis and Westbrook as its service area. A local news site has described it as in business since 1942 and taking on customers in Windham. On Google it holds 4.2 stars from 18 ratings. A 2025 customer who ran out of oil twice said the driver, while filling up, walked in and turned on the thermostat when the customer could not be home. In 2025 that customer also described speaking both times to a friendly lady on the phone who got them off the call quickly. A 2025 customer wrote "So fast. So reasonable." and said there was no question who they would call for oil furnace issues in the future. A 2026 customer praised the people and the service and said they would keep using them for years.
