Costa Quality Painting, based in Everett, is the interior repaint crew that keeps showing up in the same story: a rental unit needs to turn around fast, and Bernardo Costa's team gets it repainted, patched, and cleaned before the next tenant moves in. Angi and HomeAdvisor both put the operation at 16 years, with a Spanish-speaking crew and free estimates. The written record runs from 2015 to 2020, and it holds up well. A property manager who hired the crew for four bedrooms and two bathrooms on almost no notice — a Monday email, a Tuesday start — wrote that the whole job was handled without a hitch, right down to moving wall hangings and window treatments back into place. Another customer, working with an outdated 1980s kitchen on a tight budget, had the cabinets and countertop repainted rather than replaced; the review credits the crew for finishing on the day they promised and cleaning up afterward. A customer with 40 years in the trades himself called Bernardo Costa easily one of the best contractors he'd dealt with, across every trade. The one sour note is a 2019 review that says flatly, "They don't return calls" — a specific complaint about communication rather than the work itself. A 2017 review makes a similar point in passing: the crew ran over the original timeline by a few hours and there was some miscommunication attributed to a language gap, though the same reviewer says they honored the original estimate and came back to fix a color mistake at no extra charge. Worth knowing before calling: the written reviews stop in 2020 — nothing on Angi or HomeAdvisor is newer than that, so the six-year gap is real, not a case of reviews going unrecorded. Ask directly about callback turnaround, since that's the one recurring complaint in an otherwise strongly positive record. Costa Quality Painting reads like the right call for an apartment turnover, a rental refresh, or a whole-interior repaint where cabinets and trim need attention along with the walls — place the first call yourself rather than waiting on a callback, and confirm current availability given how long it's been since the last review landed.

Costa Quality is a very professional company, who was responsive to my time frame. They got in and out very clean. I look forward to working with them again. GF
Bernardo and his team did an excellent job painting my apartment. There was damage to some of the walls and when they were done I couldn't believe how great they looked. I highly recommend Costa Painting. I will definitely hire them again.
Bernado and his guys did excellent job painting two of my apartments and the hallway. The hallway was in bad shape before and they did a great job patching and fixing it. I will hire them again.
We needed a rental apartment refinished at a reasonable price and Bernardo and his team stepped up and did a great job. Repainted the whole unit, epoxy coated some tile in the bathroom and refinished old wood cabinets.
I personally have been in the trades for just 40 yrs now, dealt with many firms and Bernardo Costa is absolutely in my experienced personal opinion easily in the top ten of all the trades I have dealt with through the years and will continue to hire them for all my painting needs. Firms like these folks don't come around very often.
