We have known Derek for over ten years and have hired him for several projects in our home. Six years ago Craft completed a repair of a porch post. When you finally make the decision to have work done on your house, the next decision that you need to make may the hardest and possibly the most consequential decision that you will ever have to make….. choosing the contractor(s) who will do the work for you. We have all heard the contractor nightmare stories from our friends and neighbors. They did their research and things still went sideways. So, you do your research and hope for the best. But the purpose of this review is to tell you that you need to look no further than CRAFT Design and Build. They are not a huge shop, nor are they a small shop, but rather they are just the right size where they can still pay attention to all the details and tackle any size job that you might have. They expanded our kitchen and added a bedroom/bathroom/closet addition to the main floor of the house, and we could not be more pleased with the way everything turned out. From the early design process through each step of the way, it was a very collaborative relationship. But I think a key test of a good general contractor is the sub-contractors that they employ and what they say about each other and about CRAFT. When the carpenters tell you that the foundation was spot on, and the sheet rockers tell you that the framing was perfect, and the plumbers and the electrician’s comment about what a great job the painters and the tile guys did, then you know that the job is being done well. Most importantly, ALL of the trades had good things to say about working with CRAFT, which for me I think, was the best endorsement anyone can give. We have gotten countless compliments on the new kitchen and bedroom and I have recommended Derek and Corey and the rest of the CRAFT team to everyone without hesitation.
