Carlos runs CRJ Enterprise Corp out of Danvers, and reviews describe him personally catching things other contractors might miss. In a January 2020 review, a homeowner said Carlos carefully assessed their deck project and realized the roof underneath would need replacing too — something no one else had flagged — and praised how he encouraged them to ask questions throughout. The jobs described range from small fixes to major builds, going back to at least 2016, when a review praised professional, efficient work with fair pricing and a clean job site. A December 2020 review described a different project: reconfiguring an upstairs loft by moving a closet door and adding a second doorway into the adjacent bathroom. A 2021 review described a 26-foot front porch rebuilt with four new posts, a beam, deck, rails, a ceiling, and front steps, calling the finished work beautiful and beyond what they'd expected. A 2019 review described an extensive single-family renovation in Somerville where Carlos coordinated several subcontractors and communicated well throughout, though the reviewer noted a few kinks along the way on a project that size. Three reviews from 2017 covered smaller jobs: a basement finished efficiently with steady communication, a remodel where Carlos stayed easy to reach by phone or text and had answers ready whenever questions came up, and one that called him responsive and well-priced — the second-cheapest of the quotes compared. Massachusetts' contractor registry lists CRJ Enterprise Corp's home improvement license as active, current through 2028. There's one account worth knowing about: a brief 2022 review said the contractor was unresponsive and that the reviewer wouldn't recommend CRJ to others, without describing a specific job. For a porch build, an addition, or a mid-size remodel with some structural complexity, Carlos's crew has handled a wide range of projects since 2016 — given the 2022 account, it's worth confirming upfront how quickly he responds once a project gets underway.

If we had any idea of the contractor would be so no responsive we would have not hired him and we do not recommend them to anyone.
CRJ completed our very large front porch (26 ft) with 4 posts, a new beam, deck, rails, ceiling, and front steps. We were very lucky to find CRJ Enterprise, Danvers, MA They did a beautiful job completing everything we wanted. In fact, they exceeded our expectations. The quality of workmanship is top notch. Carlos and his crew are really a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the ideal contract team. I would describe Carlos and his team as honest, reliable, skilled, professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. William L. ( Medford MA )
We wanted to add a door to section off an area of our upstairs loft and turn it into a room. To do this we needed to move the location of the closet door in that area and also create another door to the adjacent bathroom to allow for two points of access to the bathroom. Carlos was the most professional of the contractors we brought in for an estimate. He was creative in what could be done, offering different options I hadn't considered, and was responsive initially in getting an estimate of the costs. The work took 4-5 weeks between taking things down and moving everything. During the job process, the only issue I had were that at times I was unable to reach Carlos or his workers to schedule the times when they would arrive as these weren't always consistent. It would help to have a clear schedule in advance to prepare ahead of time and coordinate everything as we also have to plan around our jobs and kids. Any minor quality issues I had with the work were addressed by Carlos in a timely manner and I'm happy with the quality of the work. Overall I'm very happy with the end result and would contract with Carlos again. There are some things that could be ironed out but the final product was great!
It couldn't have been better. I particularly appreciated Carlos's careful assessment of our project and his realization that the roof under our deck would need to be replaced as well (no one else told us that), his encouragement to us to ask questions and his responsiveness to the ones we posed, his punctuality and that of his crew, and the care that he took in explaining the pacing of the work, which was sometimes interrupted by bad weather.
CRJ completed an extensive renovation of my single family in Somerville and did a very thorough and well done job. Carlos is a great communicator and coordinated several subcontractors for the project. As expected with such a large endeavor, there were some kinks along the way, but Carlos handled them well, in a timely fashion, and ensured even the small details were taken care of. They aren't necessarily the fastest team around and could be a little more upfront about when there are additional costs outside the agreed upon contract, but there is real care in their work, their pricing is generally fair, and they are a pleasure to work with.
