Culligan Water Filtration of New England is the Culligan dealership at 11 Jan Sebastian Drive in Sandwich, and on Cape Cod it is usually called after a water test goes wrong — PFAS in a well, iron staining, water hard enough to wreck a dishwasher. The company describes itself as local and family owned, a small operation with a global brand behind it, and says on its own site that it has served eastern Massachusetts since 1992. The hiring story customers tell is remarkably consistent. A representative comes out, tests the town or well water, explains the options, and — reviewer after reviewer volunteers this — does not push. One 2026 buyer said the process was easy and stress-free from start to finish; a 2023 reviewer said the salesman had the water tested, answered questions and "wasn't pushy at all." The installs draw the same kind of praise. In 2025 a Martha's Vineyard household had a system put in to neutralise and soften well water and strip out PFAS, plumbed to serve both the main house and a cottage; a 2023 reviewer said the finished work in the mechanical room looked like a piece of art. Installers and technicians get named — George, Patrick, Andrew, JD, Reed, Zac — which is usually a sign the same people keep showing up. What to ask about is what happens after the truck leaves. Both of the company's negative reviews are about service rather than the sale: in 2023 a customer said the technician sent out did not know how to service the filtration half of the system and they waited two weeks for someone who did, and in 2022 a customer said their system pushed pH too high and shed media into their pipes, faucets and showers, and that the company would not accept responsibility. Nothing that severe appears in the record since. Two things also do not line up on paper: the site's "since 1992" against a BBB record showing the corporation started in 2008, and a BBB employee count of one against a review record full of named staff. They are a sensible call for well-water problems on the Cape and the islands, especially PFAS, hardness and iron. Before signing, get the water test results in writing, ask exactly who services the filtration side and how fast, and confirm what the warranty covers if the system itself causes a problem.
“Get a whole house Culligan water filtration system they work.”
Working with Culligan was an excellent experience from start to finish. George Moore made the entire process easy and stress-free, clearly explaining our options, the benefits of the filtration system, and what made Culligan the right choice. His communication was outstanding— as well as his on ging customer support was above and beyond. Patrick, the installer, was equally professional and courteous, taking the time to ensure the system was placed exactly where we wanted it. Both George and Patrick made sure I was happy with the outcome. I was really impressed! I highly recommend Culligan, and especially George and Patrick, for their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Great experience - George was super responsive, knowledgeable, and honest. They did not try to upsell any services. They deliver a very high quality product and were very pleasant to deal with.
My Partner and I recently purchased a water filtration system to neutralize and soften our water as well as eliminate the PFAS/Forever Chemicals that were found in our well water on Martha's Vineyard. The system they put in serves both the main house and a cottage, and happily could be placed in and connected into our well at the same time. . The two service technicians who came out, JD and Reed, were great!!!. They were professional, informative, efficient, personable, considerate and very positive in all they did. We could not have had better technicians or a better experience. Thank you so much to Culligan in Sanwhich, MA!!!. And warm regards to JD, Reed, and George!
Truly a great experience working with George and our local Culligan team over the past two years. We purchased a home with an existing filtration system - but still struggled with discolored water - we live on a pond, with well water. George was patient enough to walk us through the testing process, and proposed a water softening system to resolve our issues. Even since the softener has been installed, we've had perfect water and zero troubles. Very pleased with our experience and grateful for the entire team - George, Andrew, JD, and Kacey.
Zac did a great job!! Culligan is the best
