A concrete porch repair is the detailed customer example for Custom Renovation Service in Newington. In June 2024, a homeowner said the crew promptly assessed the damage, rebuilt the porch, and resolved a longstanding problem with a bottom step that flooded and became muddy when it rained. The customer praised the workmanship and said the flooding had not returned. An April 2024 reviewer alleged that debris from a company truck and trailer damaged their car on the highway. They said the owner denied that the vehicle was his and refused to address the damage. This complaint concerns a road incident rather than hired construction work. The company says it has been in business for 22 years and advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is active. Google shows three stars from two ratings.
Our concrete porch was very much in need of repair. When I called this company they immediately sent someone to assess the damage. The workmen who came were polite and very knowledgeable. They quickly found the problems and created a beautiful new porch. I was impressed by their workmanship which is stellar. The new porch changed the whole look of the house from the road. We had a problem with our bottom step from the time we arrived at the house. Whenever it rained the step flooded and created a muddy patch. Since they fixed our porch we have never had another problem with it. I recently recommended them to a friend who said she had a similar experience to me. The workmen who came were skilled and knowledgeable. She speaks very highly of the work they did at her house. I highly recommend this company. Sandy
I wanted to share my story of my first interaction with this company. One of their trucks were driving in front of me on the highway with a short dump trailer attached, the trailer had a hole in it or the door wasn’t fully shut and debris came flying out and showered my car which caused small dents and chips all over the front bumper and hood. I had the incident reported with the state police who had followed up with the company and found out they are insured which was great until we called the company to speak with the owner who tried telling us he’s not going to do anything about it and calling us liars saying that wasn’t his truck and trailer. If this is how a so called business deals with a small issue that should be resolved no problem I wouldn’t ever trust them to do any kind of work in my home. They basically will call you a liar if you have any problems.
