D. Muzzioli Associates says it has kept properties around Greater Boston looking sharp since 1974 — landscaping, hardscaping, snow removal, and general contracting for commercial, residential, and municipal clients. Its own site's photo captions trace three generations doing the same work: a grandfather and Dante Muzzioli planting a lawn in 1959 and, six decades later, Dante and his grandson mowing that same lawn. Google shows the company at 4.0 stars from 23 ratings, but the handful of written reviews on file tell a more mixed story. A 5-star review from October 2022 praises the crew's upkeep of the Eversource substation landscaping on Colburn Street. Against that sit three pointed complaints from 2022 and 2023: one describes three missed quote appointments in a row — two no-shows and a last-minute cancellation — ending with the reviewer saying they would not recommend the company; another, from July 2022, accuses crews of blocking driveways with parked trucks and blowing debris onto neighboring property; and a March 2022 review, written in Spanish, describes a specific employee as disrespectful toward customers. Federal records also show the company paid a $5,500 OSHA penalty for a workplace safety violation back in 2000 — a one-time, decades-old citation rather than a recent pattern. Worth asking about directly: how quickly they'll actually show up for an estimate, and whether crews are careful about where they park and where debris ends up on a residential job — the specific complaints on file are about scheduling reliability and site etiquette, not the quality of finished work itself. The much larger 23-rating Google average suggests these aren't universal experiences, but they're specific enough to raise before booking. For municipal, institutional, and larger commercial landscaping and snow removal — the kind of long-running site work the Eversource review describes — the track record reads stronger than for a routine residential estimate; either way, it's worth nailing down a firm appointment window and confirming the crew's plan for parking and cleanup before the truck shows up.

Couldn't wait anymore for someone to come check out our yard, despite multiple calls and multiple weeks of trying..did hope for a better response given good ratings and local folks..anyways!!
They do a good job maintaining the Eversource Substation landscaping on Colburn St. Keep it up!
Requested first appointment for quote: no show Second appointment: called approximately 10 minutes before second appointment stating that there was a scheduling conflict and couldn't make it. Third appointment scheduled for next day. Third appointment: no show Based on above performance I would not recommend this contractor.
Horrible business. Landscapers are disrespectful and park wherever they want blocking people into their homes. No respect for where they are blowing their debris and the damage it causes to personal property
En esa empresa tienen una persona muy desagradable que no sabe tratar a las personas decentemente, con respeto y educación, es un trabajador sin permiso legal de trabajo.
