In June 2011 a homeowner wrote that they called Dalicandro on a Friday and he was at the house the next Monday, while the other companies they were weighing quoted a two-week wait. Speed is what the newest reviews describe too: a May 2026 customer with a malfunctioning commercial AC at their office said Jude came out quickly and diagnosed and fixed it the same day, and when the AC at home quit on the first hot day of the season, he came out same day again. Dalicandro & Sons calls itself a small family-owned Hopedale shop doing commercial and residential HVAC repairs and installations, and its Better Business Bureau page carries an A+ with 15 years in business. Jude is the name in five of these reviews. A June 2026 customer said the call about their central AC was returned promptly, that Jude and his son arrived at the scheduled time less than a week later, and that the pair were courteous, professional and tidy. The longer accounts are older. In a July 2022 review, a condo owner said they had been using Jude's services for six or seven years and that his crew does the yearly maintenance on the building's central AC, identifying potential issues before they became problems. In February 2022, after a thermostat swap left a pilot light that wouldn't relight, Jude first tried to talk that customer through it on a FaceTime call, and when that didn't pan out he went out of his way. Not everyone's experience has matched. A June 2024 Google reviewer left one star and two words: rude, disrespectful. On Angi, a December 2021 reviewer rated the company half a star and wrote, "Be careful when dealing with Dalicandro & Sons." The star averages diverge sharply as well — Google sits at 3.7 across 12 ratings, while Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 0.5 from seven ratings. Its BBB page also carries one complaint that is not about the work at all, an alleged driving incident involving a worker. One wrinkle to settle first: the company's own site and its BBB page put it in Hopedale, while the Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles put it in Milton, so confirm which listing belongs to the business you are calling. Get the scope and the price in writing before work starts, and ask who will be doing the job.
