Centerline Mechanical

Julian Picard came to home heating from cargo ships. The company says he graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2016 and worked as a marine engineer on engines and climate control aboard cargo and heavy-lift vessels before founding Centerline Mechanical in Hopedale in 2020. What people hire the company for now is heat pumps — and the Mass Save paperwork that comes with them. That rebate help turns up again and again. A July 2024 customer had mini splits installed, baseboard heaters pulled out and an electric water heater put in inside two weeks, with the Mass Save paperwork processed for them. A December 2025 customer credits the team with carrying them through the Mass Save loan process alongside a heat pump, mini splits and a water heater. On Reddit in July 2026, a commenter in r/WorcesterMA wrote that Centerline had installed their heat pump two years earlier and helped them handle the rebates. There is an electrical side too, and it shows up usefully: in December 2025 a homeowner who needed an electrician in Upton at short notice for a bathroom remodel had one there the next day and done in two hours, with the remodel still on schedule. Furnace and boiler repairs, ductwork with central air, AC service and multi-zone installs all run through the 68 Google ratings, which average 4.9. Quoting speed is a specific, repeated detail. An October 2025 customer expanding heat and air conditioning in a basement said the crew sat down and handed over the quote before leaving. In February 2023 the owner answered the phone himself, came out the next day, and had the estimate back within a day and a half. Two accounts run the other way and both are worth raising. In March 2025 a customer updated a one-star review to say the owner's public reply was inaccurate, and that calls and emails taking him up on what that reply offered went unanswered. In October 2023 a caller asking about re-insulating ducts, some of them inside a wall, was told the company does duct repairs and insulation but not wall insulation, and left a one-star review about the exchange. For a heat pump or mini split system in Worcester County with the Mass Save side handled for you, this is a strong call.
