Damark Woodcraft has been in business in Haverhill since 1992 — a three-person shop on Hale Street run by owner Mark Brady, according to its BBB profile — and has almost no public trail to show for those decades. That's the honest headline here. Three Google ratings averaging 3.7 and two written reviews since 2024 is not enough to judge the woodwork by, and the BBB itself declines to issue a rating, saying it lacks sufficient information. The company is listed as a member of the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce but is not BBB accredited. One thing worth naming plainly: the lone one-star review on Google is not about a job at all — it describes an encounter with the owner on the road rather than anything he built. Read it for what it is, and weigh it accordingly. If you're considering them for custom woodwork, ask for references and photos of recent jobs directly, since there's little to look at online. A shop of this size and age should be able to point you at customers who can speak to the work.

I had a deeply unsettling experience with the owner of this company while driving in Haverhill. There was a vehicle in front of me and I was driving safely behind it when he — who had been behind both of us — suddenly and aggressively overtook both vehicles. His maneuver was so reckless that the driver ahead of me ended up pulling over to the side of the road, and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision. (Added two photos showing his company vehicle pictured at the stop sign as I drive past and a later photo of him overtaking me on the road.) As he continued to speed past, he flipped me off for absolutely no reason. When I later contacted him to let him know that my Tesla captured the entire incident and that I intended to report it, he tried to shift blame and make false claims about what happened. If this is how he behaves behind the wheel — endangering other drivers, showing blatant road rage, and then lying about it — I would never trust him or his company in a professional setting. Character and integrity matter, and this was enough for me to stay far away from doing business here.

Mark and his team do an exceptional job at building and installing cabinetry and furniture. The love for all things wood comes through and the end result is always perfection. Plus they are a pleasure to work with!
