Darrin Duty Electrician is a South Yarmouth-based electrician who works across Cape Cod, personally handling residential and commercial jobs — from panel upgrades and EV charger installs to recessed lighting, ceiling fans and generator hookups. Reviews consistently describe Darrin himself showing up, answering his own phone, and following up directly with customers, the profile of a hands-on, owner-run operation rather than a larger crew-based outfit. Every review on file — 109 ratings on Google, all five stars — describes the same pattern: prompt scheduling, fair pricing and reliable follow-through. Customers cite specific jobs he's completed, including electrical panel upgrades, EV charger wiring, recessed lighting and dimmer installs during a full home renovation, and generator interlock kits that let households run a portable generator safely during outages. One reviewer credits Darrin with averting a house fire by tightening a loose panel connection after finding a short; another says he answered right away and installed a switch for a generator mid-snowstorm during a July 4th week emergency. A reviewer who has both subcontracted Darrin for clients and hired him personally calls him a fairly priced, great electrician — one of several repeat relationships that show up across the review history, which runs consistently from August 2024 through mid-2026 with no gaps and no negative reviews in that span. One thing worth confirming directly: the business's own website states it is licensed and insured, but public Massachusetts electrician licensing records available to Tavlee did not turn up a matching registration under this business name, and no license number appears anywhere in the reviews. It's worth asking Darrin for his license number before booking. All of the review activity on file is also concentrated on a single platform (Google), so there's no second source to cross-check the record against. For Cape Cod homeowners who want a responsive, personally-run electrician for everything from small repairs to panel upgrades and generator setups, the review history points to a reliable, fairly priced choice — just confirm the license status directly with Darrin before hiring.
Darrin was very prompt to respond to request. He communicated clearly the scope of the work involved and provided me a reasonable quote for wiring my EV car charger. On the schedule day of installation he on time, did his work, checked and double checked to make sure everything was working properly and cleaned up after himself. I will definitely hire him again.
Darrin changed out two outdoor outlets for me. He was fast and efficient. He was punctual. He got here when he said he would, which I appreciate very much. I would definitely recommend him for any electrical work. Thank you Darrin 😊
