DECKS PLUS

Decks Plus built one family a gazebo twice — once 20 years ago, and again the week before they wrote about it in June 2024. That is the shape of this Westborough shop: the company, Outdoor Accents Inc., says it has been building custom decks, gazebos, pergolas and pavilions for Massachusetts homeowners since 1992, and it sells Amish-made poly outdoor furniture alongside the construction work. Decks run through the Google reviews, where the company holds 4.8 stars across 34 ratings, and sheds come up often too. In a March 2025 review, a homeowner described Josh Leary and his crew bringing an old deck back up to code — new railings and balusters all around and up and down the steps to the pool. A September 2023 customer had 20-plus-year-old boards dealt with: the surface and railings redone in under two weeks, on the existing base. Another, in May 2023, had a wood deck rebuilt in composite and credited the crew with getting the permit efficiently and holding to the timing they had set. The shed jobs read the same way. A May 2022 buyer did the whole design online and was helped to a local landscaper to prepare the site; an August 2022 customer thanked Deb for understanding what they wanted before a she shed arrived. Two customers described problems being put right: the June 2024 gazebo had a minor issue the crew remedied immediately, and in a 2019 Angi review a shed ramp came out too narrow for the door and the company fixed it. The one sour account is old and sits on Angi. A March 2011 reviewer wrote that they did not make it through the first winter without issues, and that Dan told them he would make them whole and then changed his mind. It is the single one-star among Angi's eight ratings, which average 4.4; the Angi reviews that followed, in 2017 and 2019, are five stars. The written reviews here run from 2010 through August 2025, and the BBB lists the company at 196 Turnpike Road in Westborough with an A+ grade. For a deck rebuild, a gazebo or a shed from a crew that has been doing that one thing around Westborough for decades, this is a straightforward call. Ask for the warranty terms in writing before you sign — the one complaint here is about what happened after the build, not about the build itself.
