A furnace that another contractor wanted to replace was repaired by DEE Service, according to a December 2024 Google review. That homeowner described a same-day visit, diagnosis within 30 minutes and installation of the ordered part two days later. They also credited the staff with explaining the problem and calling when a technician was on the way. DEE Service is based in Agawam. The company names Agawam, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Wilbraham and Hampden as its service area. Its BBB profile describes company-reported residential and commercial heating, air conditioning and sheet metal work. BBB gives it an A+ grade. Google shows 4.2 stars from 31 ratings. The Massachusetts state registry confirms its HVAC license is active. Other heating accounts describe both repairs and replacements. In a February 2026 review, a Wilbraham customer said DEE responded the same day after an upstairs Lennox furnace stopped working and fixed the problem within an hour. An October 2024 customer described a cleaning and inspection of a 50-year-old gas furnace: technician Will identified an aging blower bearing and said it did not need immediate replacement. Another October 2024 reviewer praised a new furnace installation, the crew's professionalism and the price they paid. A July 2019 Google review describes a serious air-conditioning complaint. The customer said a leak continued after a service visit, causing ceiling damage, and that a returning technician found a rusty drip pan with holes that the earlier technician had missed. They also reported unanswered messages and an angry conversation with manager Paul. The same reviewer said they later found an incorrectly wired thermostat at their parents' home. These are that customer's allegations about the work and follow-up at the time.
We are located in Wilbraham and have 2 Lennox gas furnaces. The upstairs unit stopped working overnight. There are only 2 Lennox service companies in this area, DEE is one of them. I called in the morning when they opened, was told someone would call to set up visit same day, They called, showed up, and fixed the problem within the hour. 5 stars for communication, timeliness, and professionalism.
Dee service is a life saver!!! I used a different but reputable HVAC guy first who couldn't figure out the issue and recommended a new furnace. I was a week without heat (low 20s at night) but decided to get a 2nd opinion and saw Dee was recommended on the neighboorhood FB group. I called and they came out same day, figured out the problem in 30 mins or less, they ordered the part, and installed it 2 days later! I wish I called them sooner!! Shout out to Paul, Cindy, and the techs Mike and especially Tom for answering all my questions and explaining the issue. They are excellent assets to your company. Everyone was professional and punctual and arrived when they said they would. Cindy would call to let me know when a tech was on their way. Do not hesitate to call them! A+ service!!
My first time dealing with Dee after getting referred by a common friend and also reading reviews on Facebook. I reached out to Dee "Cindy" back over the summer to come and do a cleaning and assessment on my 50-year-old gas-forced hot air furnace. it has been getting a bit noisy over the past few years and was thinking how much longer could it last? Cindy informed me that they were in summer mode dealing with AC systems and if we could wait until the fall we could have a fall tune-up special. She called me in late summer to schedule an appointment. Today tech Will showed up on time and performed the cleaning and inspection. The noise is coming from a blower bearing that is showing its age but does not need immediate replacement. Will was very professional. We will be calling on Dee for future needs. Thank you, Cindy and Will.
Needed a new furnace recently and they arrived at 7:30 a.m. They did an excellant job and were professional and pleasant. One of my friends used another company and they were charged almost double from price I paid. I have been with this company for many years and would highly recommend them for heating and air conditioning.
Short version... Terrible AC company. The job they do is in and out quick... cursory fix with a band-aid. Customer service is poor and service recovery nonexistent. Their manager, Paul, isn’t able to have a difficult conversation without yelling. Use a different company and save yourself the hassle. Full Details below: Called them for service and evaluation of AC unit last year. They looked at the unit and said everything looked ok. Tech was very nice... seemed to know his stuff. Last month we had a leak from the unit. They came out and added refrigerant and a filter and said the leak was fixed...no other problems and it wouldn’t leak anymore. This tech was very nice but definitely not as knowledgeable as last years tech. 3 days later the leak was not fixed. And we had significant ceiling damage. They returned and a different tech said the drip pan was rusty and had many holes in it which had been there for a long time. The first tech didn’t evaluated the drip pan, instead just fixed what might caused the leak into the drip pan. Very unfortunate, had the drip pan been recognized as faulty, with multiple rusty holes they might have more careful about how they fixed the leak ...could have even done what I ended up doing and put a plastic bin to catch any future leak in the drip pan. They didn’t, and AC unit continued running and leaking into the drip pan which in turn leaked through all the rusted holes into the ceiling. Ceiling was ruined and needed to be torn out. Speaking with Paul about it throughout the process was the most disappointing. He is not able to have a difficult conversation without getting defensive and angry and yelling. It’s unfortunate that their customer service lead person is so unprofessional and unable to control his emotions. We called him 3 times to discuss the fallout of all this, and left voicemails and messages and never got a phone call back. We finally called and talked to him when he happened to be in the office. This company didn’t know what they were doing, then instead of being reasonable and have a discussion proceeded to yell at us about why they were right and we were wrong about everything. Not how customer service is done by 5 star companies. Lastly, my parents were having AC problems this week as well ...and I went to help them...and found Dee had wired their thermostat incorrectly! The dampers to their main zone was never opened. The job they do is in and out quick... cursory fix with a band-aid. Customer service is poor and service recovery nonexistent. We have now found that there are much better AC companies in our area that actually care about their work and their customers.
