A temporary air-conditioning fix before the weekend stood out for one customer who wrote about Richie’s Air Conditioning & Heating Inc in May 2018. The reviewer said Richie obtained a replacement part quickly and returned on a Friday afternoon to install a temporary solution so they would have air over the weekend. The Agawam company says it has served Agawam and Greater Springfield for over 45 years. BBB gives it an A+ grade. Google lists 4.3 stars from 12 ratings. In a January 2018 review, another customer described a furnace and heat-pump installation that included redoing the vent work. They said they had received three other quotes and chose Ritchie for his professionalism and knowledge. Eight years after the installation, they wrote, the system was still running and service for cleanings had been prompt. A customer writing in April 2018 said they had used the company since building their house. They praised fair pricing and options to update or repair, recalled Richie coming right over on New Year’s Eve, and described a more recent seasonal service that took two visits, with a price and outcome they liked. In July 2017, a reviewer described water leaking from a furnace/AC unit during a busy humid stretch. Richie offered troubleshooting tips by phone while trying to arrange a technician. An hour later, a technician in the neighborhood called to offer a visit between appointments if their schedules lined up. The customer said the technician took off his shoes, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, and checked other possible causes. A July 2021 reviewer whose air-conditioning system had been installed years earlier said Rich returned calls promptly, technicians arrived within a few hours, and the team explained both the problem and the solution.

Richie's installed our air cond system many years ago. When you call for service, (which is not very often), Rich calls back right away and his technicians are at the house within a few hours. His tech team are very neat in appearance, very professional and fully explain the problem and the solution. We fully recommend this company 100%.
Richie recently fixed my air conditioning unit and I could not be happier with the service. He and his crew were extremely polite and went well above and beyond what was expected. I was amazed at how fast he was able to get my replacement part, and he even came back on a Friday afternoon to put in a temporary solution so I would have air over the weekend. Simply awesome!
We have used Richie's Air conditioning & Heating Inc. from the time we built our house. Richie's quality of work and customer service is the best! Richie is always there to provide you a fair price and options to update and/or fix. Once, we had to call him on New Years eve and he came right over. Most recently we used Richie to service our unit for the upcoming season. The service he provided involved a 2 trip visit and the price and outcome of his work was great. I would highly recommend Richie for any of your air conditioning needs.
Absolutely Amazing! Ritchie installed a very high tech furnace with a heat pump, including re-doing all of the vent work !! I had 3 quotes from other companies, I decided to go with him due to his professionalism and knowledge of the system. 8 years later and system still going and service for cleanings etc.. has been prompt and the best! Will never go anywhere else!
I had some water leaking from my Furnace/ AC Unit. Richie gave me tips over the phone to try and resolve the problem while trying to get a technician available (during a busy humid stretch when they were getting tons of calls). An hour later a tech in my neighborhood called me to say he could make time to swing by between service appointments, if our schedules lined up. The tech was friendly, courteous and professional. He even took his shoes off before coming in. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it while also checking out other possible causes, just to be sure. Great service, I guess thats why they've been in business for forty years.
