On a recent full kitchen renovation, the customer said Dan suggested removing a full load-bearing wall where they had planned only a partial cut-out between the kitchen and dining room. That customer said Dan walked them through each step before demolition began, and that the invoicing was itemized line by line rather than a lump sum. Joe built two custom built-in bookcases in the kitchen, and the customer said Joe, Dan and their team kept a clean job site. The timeline ran slightly past initial expectations, which the customer put down to mistakes on the cabinet company's end. A 2025 customer said Dan and his crew came up with an alternative when an unforeseen issue turned up on their deck project. On a window trim replacement project, a 2025 customer said three windows were replaced entirely along with the trim on further windows, and that Jay, Rob and Ethan also replaced the exterior dryer vent fan and fixed the banister. I used Desimone & Sons for a full kitchen renovation, and the experience was nothing short of excellent. I don’t typically write reviews, but I felt compelled to after what is often a challenging process—this one exceeded all expectations. From the moment I met Dan, it was immediately clear how knowledgeable and skilled he is across every aspect of construction and project planning. I originally planned to open a partial cut-out between my kitchen and dining room, but Dan elevated the vision entirely by suggesting the removal of a full load-bearing wall—something I had thought of before, but assumed it wasn’t even possible! Before demolition began, Dan thoroughly walked me through each step of the process so I knew exactly what to expect. Their invoicing was also exceptional—clear, detailed, and itemized line by line rather than a vague lump sum, which gave me complete confidence and transparency from the start. During construction, Joe, Dan, and their entire team maintained an impressively clean job site. I’m a bit of a clean freak so this is coming from someone who likes a tidy space! Multiple people even commented that it was the cleanest job site they had ever seen. Although the project timeline extended slightly beyond initial expectations (through ZERO fault of theirs- mistakes on the cabinet companies end), communication remained consistent, proactive, and reassuring throughout. I always felt prioritized and well-informed. I never felt like they were juggling multiple projects. I also added several additional elements throughout the renovation, and not once was I told “no.” Joe even built two custom built-in bookcases in my kitchen—they are absolutely stunning and one of my favorite features of the space. All inspections were completed smoothly and without issue, often while I was working upstairs, which speaks to how seamlessly everything was managed. I had heard nightmare stories around final inspections- and it was a piece of cake with Joe and Dan. I genuinely do not have a single negative thing to say about the experience. It was better than I could have anticipated, and I will use Desimone & Sons for every future project. I’ve already recommended them to multiple people; but don’t want them to book up too much so they can fit in my bathroom remodels ;) On top of everything, they are clearly dog lovers—my 9-year-old chocolate lab adored them, and the feeling was mutual. If you are looking for a highly skilled, trustworthy, communicative, and exceptionally clean contractor who truly takes pride in their work and respects your home, Desimone & Sons is it.
Working with Dan and his crew on our deck project has been seamless. Starting from the beginning with detailed overview of the potential job; asking and answering every question, coming up with an alternative to the work due to an unforeseen issue and all during the actual job process. Would highly recommend this company!
Dan & Team were phenomenal to work with on our window trim replacement project. Dan was very prompt and efficient in working with us to identify our needs to replace three windows entirely and the trim on further windows for our house. He also remained communicative throughout the process with changes to the scope of the windows and on when work would begin. His team of Jay, Rob, and Ethan were very prompt every day and addressed any and all questions. They were kind, courteous, and professional. In addition, they did a few minor additional asks such as replacing the exterior dryer vent fan and fixing the banister while they were here. Jay pointed out additional issues with one of our other windows so we could have that replaced too. Overall, we are thrilled with the work by Desimone & Sons and look forward to working with them for any additional work needed in the future. We highly recommend.
We hired Desimone and Sons Construction to add a sunroom and deck on to our house. Dan took the time to learn who we are and made suggestions along the way that suited our lifestyle and tastes. His team is amazing - incredibly talented, respectful and very clean. The site was always picked up at the end of the day.
