Deveaux Electric Co., Inc. is a Waltham electrical contractor that Better Business Bureau records trace back to 1991, and it carries BBB's top A+ accreditation. Its Massachusetts electrician license is registry-verified active. The clearest look at its work comes from a detailed 2018 Google review describing an extensive outdoor kitchen project -- firepit, water feature, pergola -- where the reviewer called the electrical work meticulous and praised how well Wayne coordinated with the other subcontractors on site. The scope included a new subpanel, coax and cat6 runs, low-voltage wiring, and power for every electrical component of the outdoor kitchen. That is the only written account currently on file, so it speaks to quality on one complex job rather than a broad track record. Its Better Business Bureau profile lists a wide range of electrical services -- from panel and lighting work to home wiring and remodels -- but doesn't show any customer reviews or complaint history of its own. For a homeowner with a complex or higher-end electrical job, the licensing and BBB standing are in order and the one detailed account is a strong sign. Given how thin the public review record is, it's worth asking for a couple of recent references before committing to a larger project.
We worked with Wayne on an extensive outdoor project (kitchen, firepit, water feature, pergola). We couldn't be happier with how incredibly well the electrical work was done. As the project was complex, there was a lot of coordination needed between the different subs. Wayne was very accommodating and flexible. His work was meticulous and he is up on the latest technology. Wayne installed a new subpanel to support our outdoor electrical needs. He ran coax and cat6 for our entertaining requirements. Low voltage wiring was run as well as power for each of the electrical components of the kitchen and the water feature. All of the lighting (and the water feature) was installed using Lutron Caseta dimmers/controllers which allows us to have remotes as well as smart phone integration. We highly recommend Wayne for any electrical needs you may have.
