Discreet Pest and Wildlife Services is a Burlington-based pest control company that keeps showing up for the calls other companies won't rush to — a mouse spotted at midnight on Christmas, a yellowjacket nest found under a sunroom the week someone moved in, a hornets' nest discovered on a Sunday. Google shows 89 reviews averaging 5 stars, Angi adds another 19 at a perfect 5.0, and the Better Business Bureau lists the company as an A+ accredited member. The recurring theme across recent reviews is speed paired with technicians customers remember by name. In a June 2026 review, a customer credited Jack with being on site faster than any of the other companies they'd called around. Another review from the same month described Nick clearing a hornets' nest quickly, a relief with a small dog in the house. A May 2026 review said Dave now handles a recurring monthly maintenance visit after an initial emergency call, and a March 2026 review described the company diagnosing and treating a pest problem the same day, at $250 less than three other companies had quoted. In a 2025 review, a customer said Jack Costigan had handled their pest control for the past 10 years, and another described Alicia, named as the owner, personally coming out to remove a trapped mouse before the customer left for vacation. The work runs wider than routine ant and rodent calls: 2024–2025 reviews describe carpenter ant infestations, wasp and yellowjacket removal, and a large warehouse whose ongoing pest problem — one a previous provider couldn't solve — was handled within days. Not every account is glowing. A June 2026 review gave the company one star, saying that for a business built around the word "discreet" it didn't hesitate to publicly showcase one of its larger clients, and that it declined to take on the reviewer's own job over something the reviewer wasn't comfortable with. Outside that one review, the pattern here is unusually steady for a pest control company — fast turnarounds on emergencies, named technicians who explain what they're doing, and a range that stretches from a single wasp nest to standing commercial accounts. Worth asking directly what that one reviewer ran into before ruling it out, but for most of what shows up here — an emergency call, an ongoing plan, or a one-time inspection — this is a company people call again.
I can’t recommend Discreet Pest and Wildlife enough. When fishing around for other companies to hire, no one was as responsive as Discreet. More importantly, no one could be on site to deal with our pest issues as quickly at Discreet. Jack has been so knowledgeable, reassuring, and thorough. Nick was awesome to work with, as well. You won’t regret working with them!
I could not recommend Discreet Pest and Wildlife enough! I contacted them about a hornets nest in my bushes at home and since I have a small dog it was a large concern. Nick, knowing how pressing it was, went out of his way to take care of the issue quickly, efficiently, and professionally! He also was sure to keep me updated with instructions on proper care for my pup to make sure she stayed away from the treated area. I will definitely be calling them again and again for any pest/wildlife issues I have in the future.
I personally would not recommend Discreet Pets and Wildlife Services. For a company whose business model is being discreet, they didn't hesitate to show off one of their largest clients. Furthermore, they refused to work with me because I was not comfortable doing their recommended pesticide treatment. During the inspection, I repeatedly explained that I have a 15-year old dog with nose cancer. After doing my own research and reviewing the contract provided by Discreet, which had a whole section for those with chemical sensitives, I decided I did not want to proceed forward with a pesticide treatment at this time. Because I was not willing to do the pesticide treatment, Discreet was not willing to do any treatment since they felt bait stations alone wouldn't solve my problem and their, and I quote, "name would be attached to the treatment". But, I thought the whole selling point of this business was that they were discreet? Furthermore, they didn't even do a thorough inspection. Of the three companies that I called, only ONE company was willing to actually get into my crawlspace, the area which all three companies felt the source of the infestation was. Because I refused the pesticide treatment, discreet refused to work with me with the other pest issues I was having as well. Jack went from being the guy to do all the work to not being the guy real quick. And, instead of owning that decision they didn't want to work with me because I wouldn't let them talk me into something I wasn't comfortable with, they led me to believe someone would be reaching out in regards to my other issues. That obviously didn't happen, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

I cannot recommend this company enough. Honest, professional and reliable. Originally called them for an emergency service and now have them come for regular maintenance. Dave manages my monthly service and he is just the absolute best. If you’re looking for a company you can trust this is the one!!
