DM Construction is Darren Martino, working residential-only out of 44 Addison Avenue Extension in Methuen — additions, kitchens, bathrooms, custom millwork, flooring, windows and design-build custom homes, by BBB's account, with the business start dated to January 1990. The BBB file is the strongest thing on the page: an A+ rating and accreditation running back to April 2005. The permit trail speaks to the scale of the work rather than its reception — 34 permits, among them a $145,000 in-law apartment, kitchen renovations in the $85,000 to $105,000 range and a strip-and-reroof, with three permits falling in the past three years. The licensing page needs care. BuildZoom shows a construction supervisor licence #CS-066342 and a home improvement contractor registration #124961, issued 31 October 2025, both marked active when it checked in July 2026. The same page lists an older HIC registration and a second supervisor licence as inactive and at one point cancelled, names Daniel Downs alongside Darren Martino as owner, and gives a headquarters address in Brattleboro, Vermont. Another contractor's records look to have been folded into that profile, so treat none of the numbers as confirmed — ask Martino for his current HIC and construction supervisor numbers and check them with the state yourself. This is a one-person design-build shop with a long, quiet history: the right call for a homeowner who wants the owner on site every day, and worth a frank scheduling conversation if the project is large or has a hard date.
