Dominic started Dom's Workshop after a stretch of homelessness led him into construction — a story the company tells plainly on its own site — and it says it has been working Southern New Hampshire since 2020. What homeowners hire him for, over and over, is the basement nobody has touched. A customer writing in April 2025 described a basement turned into a one-bedroom unit with its own bathroom and kitchenette, and noted that Dom showed up with a written plan, a cost breakdown and a timeline before any work started. A year earlier another described the same shape of job — a bedroom and a half bath added downstairs, finished on time, the crew sweeping up at the end of each day. The estimate is where several customers said the difference showed. One wrote in January 2024 about a free estimate that came with photographs and a walk of the property, including notes on work a previous contractor had done. In April 2025 a homeowner said the repair finished a few days early, cost less than two competing quotes, and that Dom helped untangle an insurance claim that had turned into a headache. He also takes the awkward small jobs: a wall air conditioner swapped out for a 98-year-old woman during a July 2024 heat wave; a rotted sill and floor in a historical home two weeks later, where the old plank boards had to come up to reach the subfloor and he worked to protect them; baseboards installed in a living and dining room on short notice in May 2024. Two things to sort out before calling. Some of the five-star Google reviews come from people who know Dom through the trade rather than as customers — one writing in April 2025 about working with him through a project-management app, another about having seen his work firsthand — so lean on the accounts that describe an actual job at a house. And the jobs on file run from full basement remodels to brick repair, tile and floor work, and a wall air conditioner, so pin down who on the crew handles the part of your project you care most about.
