Dracut Appliance Center is a family-owned kitchen and laundry appliance retailer with storefronts in Dracut and Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The company says it has been serving the area for about 75 years, founded in 1949 by Eddie and Barbara Moran, and is now run by the third generation of Morans — brothers Craig (sales and marketing) and Peter (warehouse, service, and deliveries). The written record is unusually strong and specific. On Google the business carries a 4.8-star average from 360 ratings, and recent reviewers consistently name individual sales staff — Jason Dermody, Brenden, Zack, and others — for patient, no-pressure help picking a fridge, washer, dryer, or range. Delivery and installation come up again and again as fast and professional: reviewers describe old appliances being hauled away and new ones installed and tested the same visit, often in well under an hour. Several reviewers say they have bought from the store for years or even decades, including one who noted her mother shopped there before her. A 2024 review credited salesman David Maxwell with spending hours helping choose a full kitchen's worth of appliances, and a 2023 review named Seth Dewey for similar help at the Tewksbury location. The business also runs its own repair and service calls on what it sells rather than routing customers elsewhere — one reviewer had a trash compactor diagnosed and swapped without ever visiting the store. A few things are worth asking about before booking a delivery date. A July 2026 review described a roughly two-week wait to schedule a gas range installation and frustration that no delivery window was given until the night before, costing a full day off work. The Better Business Bureau lists the business at a B- grade with one complaint on file (BBB does not publish what the complaint was about). Older reviews also describe two specific service problems: in 2023, a customer said a repair technician diagnosed a washing machine's drum bearing and pump as needing replacement and recommended a new machine, but a $30 pump alone reportedly fixed it after the customer researched it themselves; and in 2025, a customer found a newly purchased washing machine confusing to operate and said the salesman's guidance wasn't much help. A separate, undated BBB review reported a dryer that stopped tumbling by July 2025, about a year and a half after a February 2024 purchase. For homeowners who want a local, family-run store that sells, delivers, installs, hauls away the old unit, and can also come back to service what it sold, Dracut Appliance Center's record is strongly positive and deep — 242 reviews since 2021 across 11 sources, with 33 in the last six months and none negative. Given the one recent scheduling complaint, it's worth confirming the delivery window up front, especially for a time-sensitive replacement.

Excellent customer service! Will work with you to find what you want.
Our fridge died while my husband took our kids camping and I (luckily!) stayed home to finish some work projects-and managed to save most of our groceries by using our chest freezer and older fridge in the basement. We went to Dracut Appliance, and Jason Dermody was incredibly kind and patient with us! We walked in (ran, really) 5 minutes before closing on Saturday afternoon, and he graciously told us to look around and see if we found something we liked. We did! We found our fridge-GE French Door. Jason printed the specs for us, answered our questions, and my husband came back Monday to buy it. Dracut delivered two days later, took our deceased fridge away, and everything went smoothly like clockwork as soon as we walked in to Dracut Appliance! They're courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They don't push. They answer your questions. They are our go-to appliance place!
Great place to do business. They are helpful and knowledgeable. They stand by their products(previously purchased washer and dryer)
