Drougas Inspections LLC is a home inspection company whose website lists home inspection, septic and sewer inspection, radon testing and water testing, with Lee, Londonderry, Wolfeboro and Wakefield named as service areas. The company says it has been in business for 25 years. A recent Google reviewer who had never lived with septic, oil or forced hot water heating said the inspector took the time to explain everything and produced a detailed report. A 2025 r/newhampshire commenter wrote that they had used Peter and Ryan for their last two house purchases, and that "$500 saved us $300,000 on a flip" that turned out to have structural, plumbing, HVAC, septic and well issues. In a 2026 review, an out-of-state first-time buyer said Peter Drougas went through the detailed report with them afterward, and that they called on a Thursday evening and he was at the house Monday morning with their agent. A 2026 reviewer who described themselves as a real estate broker said Peter crawled into spaces other inspectors wouldn't go near and that his reports included "tons of pictures with explanations." A 2024 customer said the inspection found things they had not noticed and that they ended up backing out of the house. A 2022 customer said he came out in 24 hours on a Saturday and found major issues that were not easily seen. A 2023 first-time buyer who gave one star said he missed mice droppings, a smoke detector that was not working or plugged in, and heat that was not working, and that when they complained he was more concerned about his relationship with their realtor.
“Drougas Inspections. We've used Peter and Ryan for our last two house purchases and they are extremely thorough and professional. $500 saved us $300,000 on a flip that looked great but ended up having structural, plumbing, HVAC, septic, and well issues.”
Wonderful experience, not only did he do a thorough inspection, he took the time to explain everything to me. I'm from an area where I've never had any septic, oil, Force hot water heating so I was intimidated and Confused, not anymore I and much more confident and he didn't have to do that, but it really helped. He looked at everything, had a detailed report and was keeping in touch willing to help every step of the way. It's a rarity to find a person like this, money well spent, couldn't have had a better experience
I had a great experience working with Peter Drougas of Drougas Inspection. As a first-time homebuyer, the inspection process felt overwhelming at first, but Peter made it easy to understand right away. I had specific items I wanted him to focus on, and he was happy to accommodate those requests. He walked me through everything, explaining what he was looking for and why along the way. Since I’m out of state and couldn’t be present for the inspection, Peter took the time to go through the detailed inspection report with me afterward to make sure I fully understood everything. His timeliness was also impressive—I called him on a Thursday evening, filled out the form on Friday, and he was at the house Monday morning with my agent. Peter was extremely thorough and detail-oriented, both during the inspection and in the report he provided. He was professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with, which gave me a lot of confidence in his services. Although I ultimately decided not to move forward with the purchase, I truly believe Peter’s diligence saved me from a lot of potential headaches down the road. I will definitely use him for future inspections and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable home inspector—whether you’re local or out of state and unable to attend in person.
I am a real estate broker, licensed for more than 20 years. I use Drougas when I buy properties for myself and I always recommend them to my clients too. I have been through hundreds of inspections with most (if not all) of the licensed inspectors in the area. Peter is hands down my favorite. He is thorough and honest. He catches things that other inspectors miss. He crawls in spaces other inspectors wouldn't go near. He is also great at telling you what should be addressed right away and what can wait. His reports include tons of pictures with explanations. I trust him and use only him for my personal purchases.
We had an exceptional experience working with Peter Drougas of Drougas Inspection. As first-time homeowners, the home inspection process felt overwhelming and full of unknowns, but Peter made everything clear and manageable from the start. He took the time to explain his inspection process, walked us through each step in a simple and accessible way, and ensured we understood what he was looking for and why. Peter was incredibly thorough and detailed—both in real time during the inspection and in the written report he provided. His professionalism, timeliness, and clear communication helped us feel confident and informed as we moved forward with our home purchase. What could have been a scary experience became a reassuring and empowering one thanks to Peter. We highly recommend Drougas Inspection to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and trustworthy home inspector.
