DSMA Construction

DSMA Construction is a Somerville, MA outfit that Thumbtack lists as a deck and porch specialist run by Danilo Alves Alves, with services covering wood rot and water damage repair, replacing whole sections of a deck or porch, and full deck or porch renovations. Four reviews on Thumbtack, dated between November 2023 and October 2024, are unanimous: a 5.0-star average, and every one describes a deck job that came in fast, priced fairly, and finished to a professional standard. In a July 2024 review, a customer said Danilo and his team were very professional and that they'd hire him again; a December 2023 review described a quote lower than other estimates for work that met expectations; and a November 2023 review called a deck renovation great and quick. Worth confirming before calling: an Angi profile under the same business name describes a Somerville/Brookline flooring and tile operation with 16 years of experience, rather than the deck and porch specialty shown on Thumbtack, so it's worth checking directly which trades this crew currently takes on. Separately, BuildZoom's own license check turned up nothing verified on file for the company. For a deck rebuild, repair, or renovation in the Somerville area, the Thumbtack track record is the strongest signal here — worth confirming current licensing and, if it matters for the job, whether flooring work is still something they do.
