Duane Rego's name is on the door, and for years he was the man on the job — the 2019 and 2020 accounts are about Duane personally: a Generac whole-house generator installed neatly with the process explained, a home charging station wired, a quote he cut himself when a job turned out easier than he had figured. What answers the phone now is larger. Thumbtack lists the business as Rego Electric, Heating and Cooling with fifteen employees, and the 2025 reviews name Bill, Caesar and Chris rather than Duane. One customer wrote in May 2025 that after this job they would stop shopping plumbing estimates altogether. HomeAdvisor shows 4.8 stars across 72 ratings, 94 percent of them five-star; Thumbtack shows 4.7 across 66, with Top Pro status in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2025. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts electrician licence and a home improvement contractor registration issued in November 2025, alongside 165 recorded building permits, and Thumbtack lists master electrician and master plumber numbers — all directory entries rather than a state registry check. Two things to raise before you book. BuildZoom shows the company's insurance status as revoked, so ask for a current certificate of insurance. And a January 2020 HomeAdvisor customer left a half-star account of a panel replacement, writing that Duane said all the right things before he was paid and then went long stretches without showing up; HomeAdvisor's own profile summary describes that review as a delayed and mishandled panel job. Three percent of HomeAdvisor's 72 ratings sit at one star, and six percent of Thumbtack's 66. A milder version showed up in September 2025: the fix turned out to be simple, the bill ran higher than the customer expected, and they said they would likely use the company again anyway. For panel work, generators, EV chargers, and the electrical-or-plumbing puzzle another contractor gave up on, this is a strong call around Dighton and Bristol County, and the phone gets answered fast — a July 2025 customer was fit in the same day. Get the certificate of insurance, and get the price agreed in writing before the work starts rather than after.
