When a 2024 customer's AC motor was running erratically, Derek checked the entire system and indicated that it was most likely the ECM motor control. That customer, who wrote that they are somewhat handy, said Derek suggested buying the part online and having it ready, and also suggested a capacitor because theirs was 12 years old. The same 2024 customer wrote that when the motor stopped, they replaced the motor control themselves and the motor started to hum again. A 2025 customer said they had used DV's Mechanical for a few years, with Derek doing their spring and winter PMs and fixing and advising on issues with the A/C or heat. A 2025 customer said Derek was professional, punctual and knowledgeable, and that the work was done efficiently. A 2025 customer wrote that a difficult job was explained with patience for all of their questions, and that they got help coming up with a plan that worked with their budget. On Google, DV's Mechanical has 5 stars from 38 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

Derek came to my house about 6 weeks ago as the AC motor was running erratically. Of course, it ran fine when Derek showed. Derek checked the entire system and indicated that it was most likely the ECM motor control. As I am somewhat handy, he suggested I purchase the part on-line and have it ready in the event the motor stops. He also gave me some other tips on how to keep my system efficient and suggested I also purchase a capacitor as mine is 12 years old. Well, today the motor stopped and the temperature started to rise inside the house. As I had taken Derek's advice, I was able to easily replace the motor control and was ecstatic when I turned the power on and the motor started to hum again. Derek could taken a quick look, said everything was fine and then wait for me to call when the system was down. Instead, he gave me some useful information that allowed me to take care of the issue myself and help me next spring when I clean the condenser.
