Forty-two Google ratings averaging five stars, and most of them name the same person: Chris. Eco Insulators is an owner-run insulation shop on Upper Union Street in Franklin; the company says it covers Franklin, Attleboro, Bellingham and the towns around them, and its site is written in the founder's own voice — raised in the construction and insulation trades, as he tells it. The jobs people describe are the unglamorous ones that change how a house feels in January. A homeowner writing in March 2026 had fiberglass and cellulose put into an attic and basement and said the difference in comfort and energy efficiency showed up right away; a February 2024 customer called the result night and day. An April 2023 basement job used closed-cell foam, and an August 2022 review describes attic insulation plus weatherization sealing throughout the house. Speed and a straight quote come up repeatedly. After a cold snap burst a pipe in an attic and took out half a house, that homeowner wrote in September 2023 that a few contractors had turned the rebuild down for weeks before Chris came out and quoted immediately. An October 2025 customer reported the work completed as requested and at the price quoted, with the work area cleaned up each day, and an April 2026 review describes a candid assessment of what the house needed before anything started. The work reaches past insulation. A September 2025 review describes custom windows and an entire front entry replaced — new door, framing, sidelights, storm door — and an April 2023 customer had windows upgraded and a few walls fixed. A general contractor writing in October 2025 says he has been using the company on his own remodeling and building projects. Two things to settle before signing. The state registry lists the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration as expired, which is worth raising with Chris directly, particularly for door and window work. On price, an April 2023 customer who chose closed-cell foam said it wasn't the cheapest option, while others describe quotes that came in reasonable and held to the number. For an attic, a basement, or a house that never holds its heat through the winter, this is a small owner-run outfit whose BBB page is an A+. Get the scope and the price in writing the way earlier customers describe, and ask where the home improvement registration stands before work starts.
