Ed Hernandez & Co., LLC

Ed Hernandez & Co., LLC is a Dracut, Massachusetts painting contractor, with some carpentry and repair work alongside it, run by Ed and Alexis. The written record — 18 reviews across Google and Angi dating back to 2018 — leans heavily positive, with several detailed accounts describing skilled work beyond just painting. In an August 2025 Google review, a homeowner described pressure washing an exterior and painting several rooms, done professionally and within budget; a second review from the same date described repairs plus exterior painting completed quickly and professionally. A 2023 review mentions a leak that was fixed and stayed fixed. A 2021 review describes carpentry repairs — replacing posts and steps on an outdoor staircase — alongside painting, calling the finished work "a perfect job." Several Angi reviews from 2018 to 2021 repeatedly cite Ed and Alexis by name for being professional, thorough, and easy to work with, including plaster wall repairs alongside a two-bedroom repaint in a 100-year-old house. One complaint stands out: an October 2018 Angi review describes paint bubbling and cracking after a rainstorm shortly after a paint job, calling the result contrary to what was promised, and the company's own profile summary notes a disagreement over the follow-up repair. It's an isolated account from eight years ago, distinct from the pattern in the reviews around it. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, once active, now shows as expired on the state registry — worth asking about directly, since that's a different thing from never having been licensed. For interior painting and related repair work, the reviews here — spanning several years and consistent in what they praise — describe a company that shows up, communicates, and finishes the job; it's worth confirming registration status and getting the scope of any repair work in writing before starting.
