Ed's Garage says its fleet has been delivering home heating oil to customers throughout Eastern Connecticut since 1947, and its website lists a service area that runs through towns such as Bozrah, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Lebanon, Norwich, Plainfield and Preston. A recent customer who moved into their house in 1989 says they still get their oil from Ed's Garage more than 36 years later. A recent customer says Damien assessed the situation, replaced the right parts and completed the service without issue. A 2025 customer said that when a furnace went down at 9pm, Damien arrived promptly, found the problem, had a controller on the truck and got the furnace operating correctly. A 2024 customer of 40 years said the company had replaced 2 furnaces and patched their oil tank until it could be replaced, and wrote that the budget plan worked well for an even oil payment. A 2024 reviewer whose furnace died without warning said Fred came out and was friendly, fast and efficient. A 2022 customer who had just had an oil delivery named Larry as the delivery man. A 2026 reviewer said that when their mother called to confirm an oil order placed through an assistance company, the woman taking the call was rude and blamed her for not ordering earlier. That reviewer said the delivery did come, but wrote that the family would no longer use the company.
Outstanding job today by Damien, who went above and beyond! His people skills are spot-on. He assessed the situation, replaced the right parts, and completed the service without issue. Top notch work, would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks again!!!
I moved into my house in 1989 I asked my builder who they got their heating oil from. They told me Ed's Garage! More than 36 years later, I still get my oil from Ed's Garage. They are wonderful dedicated people. I know I can count on them. I wish other service organizations could be as responsive as Ed's are. You are the BEST!
Not something I do but after being a town resident my entire life my family living here over 50yrs and a town employee for the last 13yrs I have never had an issue with this company til now! My mother called for oil through an assistance company and when she called this company (ed's garage) to make sure everything was set up the woman on the other end was very rude and blamed my mother for calling in an order now and not earlier like the lady would prefer due to the storm last week which my mother would have done if she had a working furnace at the time. The brand new furnace just got installed after over a month of struggling to figure out how to raise $14k to replace the old one. Now mind you my mother is in her 70s and recently has been diagnosed with alzheimers on top of the fact that she is currently the caregiver to my 99yr old grandmother. So while I get the weather makes things tough for everyone. This company should remember that some people are going through some really tough times right now and that they should treat their customers with a little compassion. Did they finally come through with a delivery yes but its still after the fact they belittled my mother and embarassed her while she is already having a tough time with what life has just thrown at her. So needless to say we will nolonger use this company and WILL NOT recommend them to anyone but I will recommend the lady taking their orders should go through proper training in how to deal with the public because well in a small town word can spread like wildfire! Have a great day #dobetter
Furnace went down. Called Ed’s service and received a call back very quickly. Damien arrived promptly and found problem immediately. Had controller on truck and had furnace operating correctly. Serviced and checked boiler for reliability. Was 9pm when this happened. Very pleased with services performed.
