In Belmont, Matthew Elios has spent close to a decade building an electrical business off of exactly the kind of stories homeowners tell their neighbors: fast fixes, fair quotes, and showing up when he says he will. Elios Electric is a sole proprietorship, according to its Better Business Bureau listing, offering residential, commercial, and industrial wiring alongside more specific work like fire alarm and smoke detector installation, generator hookups, and 24/7 emergency service with free estimates. The written record, though it runs from 2017 to 2021 rather than anything more recent, tells a consistent story across five separate jobs. In a 2021 review, a customer said Elios Electric installed an EV charging outlet — drilling through a brick wall to do it — for about half the price quoted by several other firms, and called the work neat and prompt. A 2020 review described Matt walking a newly purchased home, pricing out six to ten separate items with an itemized quote, and finishing the whole punch list within a week. Another customer from the same year said he responded immediately, arrived on time, ran a thorough diagnosis, and charged what they called a reasonable price. Two older reviews, from 2018 and 2017, describe the same same-day habit: one customer got a same-day fix for a short circuit after calling him on the way out of work, and another had a set of noisy dimmer switches diagnosed and repaired on the spot. There isn't much to flag here — no complaint, pricing dispute, or licensing question turns up anywhere in what customers or BBB say about the business. On Google, it holds a perfect 5.0-star average from 8 ratings, in line with what the written reviews describe. For a homeowner who wants a straightforward electrical job done well without paying a premium — outlet and panel work, alarm systems, generator installs — this is a small operation with a track record that backs it up, even if it's worth asking directly about current availability given how small and personally run the business is.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Elios Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
Elios Electric installed an outlet to charge an electric car for about half the price quoted by several other firms. The installation required drilling through a brick wall and the work was done neatly, promptly and well. Also just a really nice person.
Matt did an incredible drop at our home had about 6 to 10 items that we needed done on a house that we just bought and came over review the items that we wanted to get done. He then sent over a professional quote explaining what the cost would be of each task, so we decided to hire him and he completed the work within a week was very professional and did an excellent job on everything in the house. I would highly recommend him as an electrician, very reliable
Matt responded immediately, arrived on time as promised, did a very thorough exam, found the source of the problem and fixed it in a professional manner. He charged a very reasonable price and I highly recommend him as a top rated electrician.
I had some dimmer switches kept making noises so I contacted them. They are very professional. They asked me a couple questions to make sure they understand what's actually going on. And when they came they already brought everything they need to fix my switches. They did a great job and fixed it quickly and they also walked me through what's going on and how could I avoid same thing from happening in the future. Highly recommended.
Matt was great. He swung by later after I got out of work the same day I called to fix a shot circuit. Very fast and professional. They were super efficient and were in and out in no time. Will call again if I have any electrical issues/needs in my condo.
