Customers of EM Remodeling talk about Edson by name, and many have hired him back for project after project. The Groton company describes itself as an owner-operated carpentry business, run by Edson, doing kitchen and bathroom remodels, interior and exterior renovations, decks and custom carpentry, and says it has been in business for 15 years. The jobs customers describe range widely. In a February 2026 Google review, a customer said Edson remodeled their bathroom, fixed a structural issue with the floor, and made recommendations that saved them money. November 2025 reviewers described two basement remodels and an outdated 1990s kitchen and half bath, and a December 2025 reviewer said Edson and Mike kept the work area clean during a shower remodel. In a December 2024 review, a customer said he converted their first floor to an open plan, redid bathrooms and installed a Trex porch; a February 2024 reviewer credited him with a mudroom addition and closet work. An August 2023 customer described porch steps built in Ipe at his suggestion. In July 2026, a customer said a renovation finished on schedule and the site was left clean and organized. Several reviewers described repeat work over years, including a Thumbtack customer in October 2018 who had a deck rebuild and a finished basement done. Google shows 5 stars from 23 ratings and Thumbtack 5.0 from 16. A Massachusetts construction supervisor licence (CS-100773) held by Edson Medeiros is active on the state registry.
EM Remodeling did an outstanding job on our renovation. The team was professional, reliable, and paid close attention to every detail throughout the project. Communication was excellent, the work was completed on schedule, and the finished results exceeded our expectations. The quality of craftsmanship is top-notch, and they left everything clean and organized. I highly recommend EM Remodeling to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality remodeling services.
We hired Edson to remodel our bathroom and fix a structural issue with our floor. He gave very good recommendations that saved us a lot of money and did an exceptional job building it. He is extremely detailed oriented and has great experience and taste. Whenever we had questions, he took the time to explain it to us in detail. Another great thing by is that he was willing to work with our own electrician so he is very flexible. We’re definitely going to hire him for other projects around our house.
Edson and Mike were great to work with and did a very nice job with our shower remodel. They were communicative, respectful, and kept the work area clean throughout the project. We would definitely work with them again and recommend them to others!
Our basement remodel came out fantastic! After having a series of bad interactions with contractors, EM Remodeling has restored my faith that good companies do exist. Communication was constant, the owner is a pleasure to work with, and the prices are very reasonable. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs work done.
We hired Edson for our basement remodel project. We are delighted with the result and even more with how the project was managed. Edson is one of the best contractors we have ever worked with and would recommend him to anyone. He is pleasant, respectful, extremely reliable, and he communicates every step of the way. He takes pride in his work and it shows.
