Emily is the founder's daughter. Joseph Kupstas started the company in Framingham in 2016 after two decades in design-build remodeling, tired of cabinetry turning up wrong and holding jobs up, and named it after the child who kept talking to him about colour and design. The Shrewsbury studio at 779 Hartford Turnpike opened as the second location in 2020, about 2,000 square feet of showroom. What they sell is the design and the materials rather than the build: kitchen and bath design, 3D renderings, then supplying cabinets, vanities, flooring, hardware and appliances. Reviewers keep coming back to the renderings. A 2022 customer with an awkward old house full of doorways got several fully worked-up 3D options with the pros and cons of each set out; a 2023 client had every space, shelf, cabinet and wall colour rendered before anything was ordered and said there was no guessing involved. Another 2022 reviewer picked them over the box stores specifically because there was a construction manager sitting in the kitchen-plans department. The work reaches beyond kitchens. A 2023 review describes an 1800s building turned into a commercial fit-out with a kitchen, two bathrooms and fourteen offices. A 2024 client finishing a six-month renovation credited them with matching new interiors to the existing house down to window-frame profiles, and with lining up upholstery and tile suppliers. Houzz lists a 2018 Professional Remodeler Platinum Award for a bathroom over $60K and a 2019 NARI regional CotY win for a residential bath over $100K, and the BBB grades the business A+ across 10 years. Two things to read carefully. First, the review record has gone quiet — 24 reviews spread from 2018 to October 2024, and nothing since. Second, a few of the entries aren't customer accounts of this company's work at all: a February 2024 five-star Google review is a charity thanking Joseph Kupstas for years of sponsorship, and a March 2019 review on the Houzz profile is about RemodelWerks, the builder several customers say Emily's works alongside. Neither is a mark against them, but neither tells you about hiring them. If you want a designed kitchen or bath with the cabinetry, flooring and appliances specified and supplied under one roof, and a rendering to sign off before anything is ordered, this is a well-awarded showroom to walk into. Ask who is doing the actual installation and whether that is Emily's, RemodelWerks, or your own contractor.
“SHREWSBURY - In 2016, Joseph Kupstas founded Emily's Interiors in Framingham out of frustration with cabinet designers and distributors. With more than 20 years in the building/remodeling industry, he too often had cabinetry arrive incorrectly, causing delays and hassles.”

“We had the priviledge to work with Joe, and his team at RemodelWerks back in the Fall of 2018. The project was a sizeable addition (family room and mudroom) along with a kitchen remodel.”
Recently completing a six-month extensive renovation, 'Emily's Interiors' provided everything I needed to make the inside of the project beautifully match our existing home. From in-person, in-depth review of everything from style of window frames to fixtures, tile, carpet and more, the team showed enthusiasm and thoughtful attention to detail. They worked hard to research ideas for me. As well, they provided connections with excellent and cheerful support businesses (upholstery, tile, etc.). I'd be thrilled to work with them again! And the fact that they worked in tandem with 'Remodelwerks' builder, everything needed was covering!
Bathroom and closet cabinetry/built-ins are delivered with outstanding craftsmanship, communication, and timeliness. Strongly approved.
I am SO thankful to Emily's Interiors for designing our bathroom remodel. The team worked with me to design exactly what I wanted and they got it done! It is our only bathroom and they made the project easy & quick. The team is so wonderful to work with, they made me feel like I was their only client! Our bathroom came out beautiful and I can't wait to call them again in the future for our next design!
Some people come into your life as supporters. Others become family. That is exactly who Joseph Kupstas and Emily's Interiors have been to Pawsitively 4 Pink. Over the years, Joseph has stood beside our organization through every challenge, every milestone, every success, and every setback. He has supported us not only with sponsorships and financial contributions, but with something even more valuable—his time, his advice, his energy, and his unwavering friendship. Joseph is one of those rare individuals whose kindness is genuine and whose generosity comes straight from the heart. He is the first person to ask how he can help and the last person looking for recognition. He would do anything for a friend, a neighbor, a stranger, or anyone in his community who needs a hand. His heart is truly made of gold. While Joseph has built an incredibly successful business with Emily's Interiors, what impresses me most is not what he has accomplished professionally—it's the way he treats people. He leads with compassion, integrity, humility, and kindness. His light shines through everything he does, and the positive impact he has on those around him is impossible to measure. As the founder of Pawsitively 4 Pink, I can say with complete sincerity that our organization would not be where it is today without the support of people like Joseph. He has believed in our mission, encouraged us when things were difficult, celebrated our victories, and helped us continue serving women facing breast cancer. Thank you, Joseph, for your friendship, your generosity, and your belief in what we do. You have touched more lives than you will ever know. We are grateful beyond words to have you as part of the Pawsitively 4 Pink family. Simply put, Joseph is one of the good ones.
