Empire Home Improvement has the profile of a broad Haverhill home-improvement contractor rather than a single-trade roofer. Its own site lists remodeling, carpentry, roofing, decking, siding, hardwood flooring, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, tile, painting, additions, new construction, foundation, masonry, asphalt, and window work, with Haverhill as the stated service area. The licensing and directory checks are mixed but useful. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, BBB gives the company an A+ grade while saying it is not BBB accredited, and BBB lists Kerlyon “Rocky” Jesus as VP. HomeAdvisor also lists trade license number 186441 expiring 11/13/2026 and notes Spanish-language service. Public ratings lean positive: Google lists 5 stars from 23 ratings, and HomeAdvisor lists 5.0 from 35 reviews. BuildZoom pulls in the other direction, with a 1.0 rating from 1 review, a BZ Score of 89, and a note that the score does not rank in the top 50% of Massachusetts contractors. The most important thing to ask before booking is current availability. HomeAdvisor’s page says the pro may not be in business, even though the state registration is active and current directory pages still identify the company at the Haverhill address. Confirm the business status, license number, who will supervise the work, and whether the written scope matches the trade mix you need. They are a reasonable call to vet for multi-scope home improvement work — especially if your project touches roofing, carpentry, remodeling, siding, flooring, painting, or windows. Bring the questions up front: current operating status, permits, warranty terms, and exactly which parts of the work are handled by Empire versus subcontractors.

I have had Empire Home improvement do several projects around my home from repairing water damage due to storms, roof replacement, window and slider doors. Each project was a good experience. Trustworthy people are hard to find and I am happy to have found them! Thanks Empire!

Rocky is a great guy and was extremely honest during our bathroom remodel. Everything turned out very nice and he was extremely flexible throughout the process.

We had a great experience with Empire Home Improvement. They evaluated the job and gave us the estimate, we agreed on a time frame and they completed the job. They took up the old carpet, readied the floor, and installed the new floor boards. It all went smoothly and according to plan.

We had Empire do some work for us over the summer. Rocky and his team are great. He was very responsive from the time he came to gave us an estimate, up until the job was completed. We are very impressed with the quality of their work, and we would not hesitate to call on them again. Definitely recommend.

What does a roof replacement cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Empire Home Improvement. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.
Estimated range
$9,000 – $18,600
Typical roofing project around $13,800
