A Environmental Control Construction describes itself on its BBB page as specializing in residential and commercial projects, including carpentry, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basements, windows and painting. Its BBB grade is A+. A 2023 customer said they hired Ernst to build an addition on their house, and listed footings that weren't dug deep enough, brand new windows leaking, doors not framed to the correct size and plumbing that had to be ripped out and done again. The 2023 customer wrote that a building inspector required all of it to be addressed to pass inspection, and that they paid other contractors to redo what was not done correctly. The same 2023 customer said that when they did show up, they would work a couple of hours and then disappear for sometimes weeks, and wrote that they were in the process of suing him.
Worst experience ever! Hired Ernst to build an addition on our house. Just about everything they did, has been a nightmare. Footings weren't dug deep enough, brand new windows leaking, doors were not framed to the correct size, ceiling was too high, floor boards rotting, outside wall not sealed, therefore rotting, not enough support inside or underneath, the plumbing has to be ripped out and done again, due to incorrect installation and lack of a plumbing permit....I could go on. Had the building inspector come out, and in order to pass inspection, all the above need to be addressed. We have had to pay other contractors to do over, what was not done correctly. Reached out and kindly asked to be compensated for the work that was done again, due to the poor workmanship, and no reply. I am going to throw in that when they did show up, they would work a couple of hours, then disappear for sometimes weeks. I am in the process of suing him. NEVER use this company.
